In an era where mid and rear-engine supercars are dominating the market, front-engine beasts are becoming an increasingly rare breed. Automakers are creating cars that are faster than ever, which will easily go well over 200 mph. Therefore, engineers had to move the engine from the front to the back of the driver's seat for better weight distribution.

When the engine is placed in the middle of the chassis, the weight is distributed evenly to all four wheels, allowing overall better handling of the car even at higher speeds. Also, with cars that have a rear engine such as the Porsche 911, the acceleration performance can be superior compared to a front-engine car as it allows a higher grip threshold.

Nonetheless, front-engine supercars are still special engineering beauties as they will pack bulky mean engines that will produce an obscene amount of power.
