Luxury car modders RDB have done a number of outrageous wrap jobs on celebrity wheels that include Chris Brown's Bentley Bentayaga getting redecked with a graffiti-decorated hood and Tik-Tok popster Addison Rae getting a bubble-gum pink exterior on her Tesla Model X. So the staff at the Los Angeles-based garage is quite accustomed to outlandish requests including one by YG, the rapper responsible for such hits as "Slide" and "Go Loko." This project involved wrapping the music star's Lamborghini Aventador in flames—but only for a week.

Flame Wrap To Match YG Shoe Design

YG wanted the flames to be put onto his Lambo as a way of promoting his latest Flame sneakers introduced in March as part of his 4Hunnid footwear line. He was also particular about the flame design, specifically wanting the look to match the sneakers and the shoebox. To RDB owner Vik Tchalikian, this would not be a problem.

"We've wrapped it a few times," said Tchalikian, whose done wrap designs on that Aventador a number of times already. "We wrapped all these flames all over it. I know we're gonna get a lot of comments about it. I think it looks pretty cool."

Flames Fit For A V12 Engine

But with the week-long promotion drawing to a close, YG has returned the vehicle to get those wraps removed. No sweat, according to Tchalikian, who estimated all of them will be off the Lambo in as little as 10 minutes. No special tools are needed as he uses nothing more than his hands to peel the stripes away from the Aventador exterior.

You'll naturally find the odd purist who might find the idea of adding a wrap to a Lamborghini sacrilegious. But in YG's case, aside from doubling as a sneaker promotion, it works as being emblematic that his Aventador is one hot item. It's definitely got some heft, thanks to a 6.5-liter V12 engine kicking out 690 horsepower, distributed to all its wheels courtesy of an automated single-clutch seven-gear transmission.

With those flames all but gone from YG's supercar, it seems that Tchalikian already seems to miss them. Fortunately, he still has a few wraps from that kit to share with his YouTube audience. Anyone wishing to comment on this YouTube episode is eligible for a sheet of YG flame wrap as well as a few additional RDB stickers, although Tchalikian is limiting the number of winners to two.
