In barely more than a week, the 2020 edition of the Geneva Motor Show will be opening its doors. Renault Groupe plans to use this big event in Switzerland to reveal a bevy of new vehicles as well as new electric concepts from its Renault, Dacia and Alpine brands.
Renault's display stand at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show will be electrifying, as it will feature only electrified vehicles – no purely conventionally powered (gasoline and diesel) will be presented. Alpine and Dacia's stands are also worth a visit.
Morphing To Electrified Models
Renault’s main attraction at the show will be its new Morphoz electric concept car. Created to represent Renault’s vision of future mobility, the new Morphoz concept will preview the brand’s upcoming EVs. As per the carmaker, the concept can be personalized to adapt to the needs, wants and uses of its occupant.
The debut of the Morphoz electric concept car at the Geneva Motor Show will be complemented by the premiere of the Mégane Estate E-Tech Plug-in hybrid. This model is powered by an innovative hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain dubbed the E-Tech. Last month, Renault already introduced E-Tech versions of the Clio and Captur.
Furthermore, Renault will be reviving one of its beloved show cars -- the Kangoo Z.E. Concept – at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. The concept’s return marks the renewal of the Renault Kangoo range this year.
Alpine And Dacia On A Roll
Nearby, Renault Group’s Alpine brand will be unveiling two new limited editions of its Alpine A110 sports car. The brand’s stand will also be bannered by the Alpine A110 SportsX, a high-performance rally concept inspired by the 1973 Monte Carlo Rally-winning A110.
In addition, the group’s Dacia brand is off to start a new electric revolution by taking the wraps off an all-electric concept that will preview its upcoming electric city car. This show car will be joined by an Anniversary edition that marks the brand's 15th year in Europe. Furthermore, the Dacia brand will present its new TCe 100 ECO-G engine, which makes use of either gasoline or LPG as fuel.
