The idea of turning a conventional car into something that would work well in the Baja or on the Trail Life is an interesting one. While most vehicles for that scenario are custom-built, there is quite the appeal of doing a conversion of one such car. Thanks to digital car renderings, this is a much easier prospect than it might normally be. One of the best is bradbuilds, and he has come up with a fantastic render of the BMW Z4 as a trail life car.

BMW Z4 Render: A Heavily Lifted Vehicle

The first thing to note with this render is just how lifted the BMW is. It now sits on some massive off-road tires, with bigger cutouts in the wheel wells to help accommodate them better. As such, the BMW now has a massively aggressive stance. At the front, we can also see what looks like some extra equipment. This looks like it is equipment in the way of shoveling and moving snow, to help this arctic-looking Z4 get out of a tricky situation. This certainly gives the vibe that this Z4 is surely made for some off-road exploration and not cruising on the road.

An Arctic Camouflage Paint Scheme

Something else that really stands out is the paint scheme that the BMW Z4 is in. Rather nicely, it is in an arctic-like camouflage. This is white with blobs of brown across it, that would possibly conceal the car in a forest-type situation, although of course in this instance it is no doubt done just to look cool. The creator of the render says they had inspiration from this rendering after they saw a BMW Z4, and then a Jeep soon after and the latter looked like it had come from a Mad Max meet-up, and they blended the two together.

We can see a few other details on this Z4 too. At the back, we have what look like could be metal ramps to aid a crossing over an ice ridge, and to help get the car out of a tricky situation. There is also a multitude of aerials across the Z4. There could be a few purposes for those, most likely to be one for a navigation system, the other for radio communication, and then perhaps another for simple use of the radio entertainment. This is certainly a Z4 like no other.
