The famous automotive designer Chris Bangle once said "Cars are the sculptures of our everyday lives." This is especially true in the case of many iconic offerings. The monikers like Lamborghini Countach, Jaguar E-Type, and Ferrari Testarossa are the best examples that epitomize this quote.

However, with the help of some really talented digital artists, HotCars has managed to create some impressive renders of the models we would like to see with a modern design language. This includes even modern cars like the Mercedes-Benz G Wagon in a pickup avatar to the quirky-looking Rolls-Royce Hot Rod. If you are in search of some of the coolest-looking European cars out there, here are our top 8 badass car render picks for you.

8 Lamborghini Countach

You do not need to be a gearhead to know about the Lamborghini Countach. The iconic wedge-shaped design, the fire-breathing V12 engine placed in the middle, and the sound that is hard to replicate by any of the rivals made it a wall poster picture of everyone in the '80s. Three decades later, it still stands tall on the desirability front. With Lamborghini bringing out the LPI 800-4 Countach, in order to revive the moniker, it attracted mixed reactions from hardcore Countach enthusiasts. However, HotCars with the help of the digital artist Rostislav Prokop managed to sketch what we think should be the next-generation Lamborghini Countach.

This restomod render of the Lamborghini Countach manages to improve on the already perfect design of the first generation Countach. The front end gets small LED headlights, blacked-out aero bits, and a sweeping hood design. The side and rear profile were also inspired heavily by the older model. The modern-looking alloy wheels, a subtle wing, and the massive fender flares add to the personality. This restomod version also comes with the legendary 5.2-liter V12 as the base engine. Even though the chance of us seeing a restomod Lamborghini Countach is low, mainly due to it being very rare and ridiculously priced, we hope some of the owners are brave enough to pull it off.

Classic British sports cars have always been a treat to the eyes. The perfect dimensions, capable powertrain, and exquisite design language helped them to stand out well. The Jaguar E-Type is the first car that would come to your mind when you hear the words "classic British sports cars" and Enzo Ferrari mentioned that it was the world's most beautiful car. The restomod specialist ECD Automotive Design managed to make a modern restomod version of the E-Type, and it looks surreal.

6 BMW Z4

With the current generation BMW Z4 hitting the 5-year mark, it has started to look a bit dated, especially on the outside. The car doesn't manage to turn heads like it used to and the specialty of the design has veered off considerably. However, the next generation render of the BMW Z4 done by HotCars showcases what this 2-seater convertible should look like.

The front end has got the purposeful design that you would expect from a sports car with the imposing kidney grille, massive air intake, and LED lighting that traces the grille. The revamped headlights and masculine hood design are onboard too. The side profile looks a bit familiar to the current generation with classic body lines. However, the fender vents, large blacked-out alloy wheels, and streamlined door handles and mirrors look perfect. The rear end takes inspiration from the BMW 8 Series and looks the part. The quad exhaust system, LED taillights, and aggressive bumper design add to the character. Overall, the bold and imposing design of this BMW Z4 would help it to garner even more sales numbers and that is what makes it a badass offering that we would like to see in the future.

5 Ferrari Testarossa

The Ferrari Testarossa was a cultural icon of the '80s. Showcased in the Miami Vice, the stunning design of the Testarossa coupled with its sheer exclusivity made it one of the most desirable Ferraris of all time. With the Testarossa going out of production in 1996, the nameplate has never seen a comeback like that of the Lamborghini Countach. With the increasing popularity of restro-styling, HotCars and the digital artist Rostislav Prokop managed to design a modern render of the much-loved Ferrari Testarossa.

This new generation design of the Testarossa is a modern implementation of the famous '80s design it originally came with. The front end gets a sloping hood line, a sporty lip spoiler, and LED headlights. The sides of the Testarossa remain very identical to the original model with the signature side strakes and the proper supercar lines. The rear end gets the LED strips, dual exhaust, and clean badging. The Rosso red color palette adds to the design well. With the first Ferrari EV reported to hit the American market in the year 2025, coupled with many of the Ferrari monikers coming with retro styling, a modern Ferrari Testarossa that looks this good would be a perfect option.

A hot rod from Rolls-Royce is the last thing that you would expect. Known for its unmatched opulence and supremely comfortable ride, the brand isn't going to bend its identity to make this super hot absurdity. However, that hasn't stopped HotCars and the digital artist, Timothy Adry Emmanuel, from designing the quirky and exceptionally cool Rolls-Royce Hot Rod.

With the Rolls-Royce Wraith used as the underpinning, this Hot Rod is going to get all the attention due to the exceptional transformation it has undergone. The first thing that you are going to notice is the outrageous wheels and the narrow front-end design. The Spirit of Ecstasy resides proudly on the hood, which also consists of 12 intake trumpets of the V12 engine. The large side-mounted exhausts, blacked-out elements, and the stunning two-tone color palette go well with the overall design language. Even though this is not something that is going to hit production, if it does, it is going to be a cool one-off build.

3 Lamborghini Urus

The Lamborghini Urus Baja Racer render is something that ticks all the right boxes if you want a cool and quirky badass SUV. Designed by Rostislav Prokop, this monster of an SUV looks like a perfect choice for those seeking a fun driving SUV that could tear up the Baja off-road tracks while being more imposing than the Porsche Cayenne, which is the current Baja favorite.

The aggressive design of the Urus is carried forward, and on top of that, this render adds quite a lot of additions to make it more useful on hardcore off-road trails. The front end sports a massive skid plate, a wide octagonal grille, LED accent lights, and seven high-output LED lights on the roof. The sides give away the beefed-up fenders, off-road tires, side-mounted exhaust, and modified rear quarter. The rear sees the most changes as the passenger compartment and cargo area now occupy the spare tire. The rear section is also fully open, and the revamped bumper looks cool. However, the lights remain identical to the production version. With the Porsche Cayenne being part of the Baja 1000, we do expect to see the Lamborghini Urus sometime in the future. But, the ridiculous pricing means that it is not going to happen anytime soon.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon is an icon in the SUV space ever since it hit the market back in 1979. However, a hot rod pickup version of the G-Wagon is something that no one would expect to come out from Germany. The Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon hot rod pickup truck is going to attract a lot of eyeballs and mixed opinions are going to pore in from purists and enthusiasts alike.

This G-Wagon hot rod pickup truck comes with all the right design choices to make it a perfect hot rod while including the basic front-end and side profile design from the capable SUV. The truck sits eerily close to the ground and the 2-door design adds to the persona. The massive fender flares, protruding intake and supercharger, and wide tires on the 5-spoke AMG alloys make it look like it could easily hit the quarter-mile run in under 8 seconds. There are many carbon fiber bits on the body and the flared rear quarter looks stunning. With the ridiculous performance figures coming from the twin-turbo V8 under the hood coupled with such a stunning visual treat, the G-Wagon Hot Rod pickup truck is something that many would crave.

A Lamborghini pickup truck would be one of the wildest dreams of pickup truck enthusiasts out there. With the Lamborghini LM002 going out of production quite a long time back, a Lamborghini pickup is going to be a popular pick for the American market. The digital artist Timothy Adry Emmanuel and HotCars managed to make a stunning proposition for truck enthusiasts to drool over, and we would love to see this badass design hit production sometime in the future.

Based on the Volkswagen Amarok's platform, this Lamborghini pickup truck has got all the right ingredients of a pickup truck that comes with such a strong nameplate in performance and luxury. The bright orange color palette, Sian-looking front fascia, and impressive ground clearance add to the resume of this truck. The side profile sees a combination of a Lamborghini Urus and a full-size pickup truck. The bed and rear design look like no other trucks out there and the design looks very appealing too. When put into production, it could easily reside above the offerings from Ford, GMC, and Rivian. The capable powertrain from the Urus means that it could tow anything with ease as well.
