Car renderings can serve several purposes, whether it's dreaming up an imaginary car, calling back to a previous design, or determining what a future vehicle will look like based on small glimpses. This particular rendering falls in the last category, as it shows a clearer picture of what Chevrolet's BET electric pickup truck might look like. Renderings of the upcoming truck were put together by TopElectricSUV and based on teaser images from the Barclays 2020 Global Automotive Conference.

During the event, leading GM executives presented on a few upcoming electric vehicles. One of them was the GMC Hummer EV, which we already have plenty of information on. However, another vehicle they covered that we have less details for was the BET electric pickup truck. They did not try to hide the truck from anyone, so they very clearly wanted us all to take a look at it. It looks as if it is a near-production prototype, so we can’t be too far away from an official reveal.

It is quite a squarish looking design, especially when we look at the wheel arches. Being an electric vehicle though does mean a cleaner exterior, so there is no large grille that seems to adorn many cars these days. There are no details on the interior or the performance, but they will no doubt come around by the time of its official launch. We can probably expect a wealth of gadgets from the interior as well.

What we do know is that it's set to be Chevrolet’s first all-electric pickup truck, and they hope it'll be a strong rival to Ford’s new all-electric F-150. The range of Chevy’s offering is expected to be 400 miles ore more on a single charge, which is absolutely perfect for many people's needs. We will of course keep an eye out for any further details on the truck should they arise.
