Some people don't want to show their hand when they pull up to the the stoplight and give away all the speed their packing, like hiding all the running gear to your Lamborghini Gallardo inside the body of a 2007 Ford Mustang. The result was a hit for the 2009 SEMA Auto Show, nicknamed the Tractorri as a nod to Lamborghini's tractor making history. The $700,000 build involved two Mustangs, a Gallardo, and a Porsche 911. It's pretty wild, and certainly not for everyone, but it deserves a look.

A Lambo Ponycar?

All the go for the Tractorri is in the hands of the Lamborghini donor. The 5.2 liter V10 was slotted in the middle of the Mustang body where the backseat would go connected to the rest of the running gear from the Lambo including the suspension. To accommodate this new layout fabrication work was done on the rear to combine the design aesthetics of both cars.

Quick Shifting Mustang

The project started when someone wanted F1 shifting in their Mustang

The checkbook for this project got his inspiration driving a Gallardo with the F1 style eGear transmission. Businessman John Haugh wanted that kind of quick shifting in his Mustang, and if you're bringing the transmission you might as well bring the rest of it as well. He turned to customizer Rick Roush to combine the two cars with the help of Darrell Mayabb drawing up the look of the car.

Form And Function

Modern muscle and sports cars can suffer from a bit of fluff with shaker hoods that aren't really shaker hoods and a Winchester Mystery House of scoops and vents that lead nowhere. The Tractorri, however, needs those scoops and vents to allow the five hundred plus horsepower engine to breath and cool itself. The color was created special for the car. Last year it sold at Barrett Jackson for $170,500. While it certainly never was meant as a daily driver, its clock shows that it's been a driver and not just a show queen.
