The roads have hypercars, the skies have supersonic jets, and soon, the waters will have Lamborghini’s yacht. Founded in 1963, Automobili Lamborghini is an Italian automotive company that specializes in building luxury sports cars and SUVs. However, with the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, the automotive company is about to produce its first-ever watercraft, a yacht.

With massive inputs from naval engineers specializing in hydrodynamic sciences, the Tecnomar by Lamborghini is built with a major focus on high speed, weight reduction technology, and highly exquisite finishing. The watercraft took design inspiration from Lamborghini cars with inclusion of start/stop buttons and a helm reminiscent of those found in Lamborghini supercars.

We’ve found some ridiculous facts about the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 and here they are:

10 Built In Partnership With The Italian Sea Group

9 Powered By MAN V12 Engines

via Virtual Boat Show

MAN has produced its most powerful high-speed four-stroke 12V diesel yacht engine. Called the MAN V12-2000, this engine possesses a high power density of 61kW per liter of displacement. It also features great benefits such as high power development, compact design, and low fuel consumption.

via Power & Motoryacht

The MAN V12 has low weight and requires minimal space on the yacht making it ideal for the relatively small Tecnomar. Customary to MAN’s yacht engines, these V12s will as well be clean and quiet in their operations.

8 Generates 4000 HP

via Tecnomar 63

Lightweight 63 feet long yacht that generates a combined total power output of 4000 hp? Now, that’s truly ridiculous. For proper perspective, the Sian FKP 37, considered to be the most powerful Lambo ever produced has a total of 785 hp from its V12 engine.

via Business Insider

For the Tecnomar, a unit of its V12 produces 2000 hp, which is more than double that of the Sian FKP 37. To get 4000 total horsepower, the Tecnomar is fitted with two 2000 hp producing V12s. Amazing!

7 Weighs Around 24 Tons

via Yatta Club

Weight is quite important to a yacht’s fluidity. Weight is also directly proportional to inertia, hence, between two yachts, when power is equal, the heavier one is slower. At just 24 tons the Tecnomar is as light as it gets.

via Billionaretoys

With such relatively little weight, the Tecnomar will have a greatly enhanced speed and gracefulness while in motion. Notably, the team got Tecnomar’s weight this low due to the extensive use of carbon fiber in the body composition.

The Tecnomar is inspired by Lamborghini Sian FKP 37. The Sian is a mid-engine hybrid sports car that was unveiled by Lamborghini in 2019. Built in honor of late Volkswagen Group chairman, Ferdinand Piech, the Sian is the first hybrid car produced by Lamborghini.

via Supercars

In a press release, Lamborghini said to reveal that the Tecnomar took some of its design features from the Sian’s structure. Tecnomar has a car-like cockpit and its Y-shaped bow lights resemble that of the Sian.

5 Only 63 Units Will Be Built

via inbolden

Lamborghini is making just 63 units of this amazing watercraft. That decision might have been informed by well-curated market research, however, another major reason the company is building exactly 63 units is to commemorate the year Lamborghini was founded – 1963.

via Luxuo

Also, as always the case with limited edition luxury crafts, acquiring the Tecnomar won’t be an easy venture as some have already been reserved for “selected owners around the world…” said The Italian Sea Group CEO, Giovanni Constantino.

via Business Inside

3 It’s Customizable

via AutoNXT

Wealthy people love exclusivity. Therefore, they always find ways to personalize their acquisitions – they modify their cars and customize their jets. The Tecnomar manufacturing team through the Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program is offering prospective Tecnomar owners the ability to do extensive color customization of their yacht’s exterior.

via Billionaretoys

Hence, a variety of color and vestment options have been made available to choose from. The customization isn’t limited to the exterior as the team is offering two customization options for the interior has well.

2 Has Top Speed Of 69 mph

via Business Insider

Is there ever anything like a slow Lambo? Not at all. Since 1948 when Ferruccio Lamborghini formed the automobile company, it’s been known to produce some of the fastest cars in the world. This tradition of speed is been replicated in the production of the Tecnomar by Lamborghini 63.

via Business Insider

With its twin 12V engines having 2000 hp capacities each, the Tecnomar is expected to cruise to a top speed of almost 69 mph on water. While this represents a decent speed on land, it’s massive on water.

1 Available In Early 2021

via Business Insider

The partnership between Automobili Lamborghini and The Italian Sea Group that’s responsible for the development of the Tecnomar for Lamborghini ’63 was announced in May 2020. The production team has since swung into action and the first yacht is expected to be delivered in early 2021.

via New Atlas

For a yacht offering so much in terms of performance, aesthetics, and luxury, being able to deliver a fully built example in such little time might just be another accomplishment entirely for the production team.
