Saleen is making a supercharged Ford Mustang to celebrate their 35th anniversary.

The last time Saleen announced a new product was the Sportruck in August, a supercharged and super cool Ford F-150. Now the California-based tuning house is offering a new custom Mustang for the discerning driver that wants nothing more than the beat the Shelby GT500 before it’s even released.

In honor of Saleen’s 35th year of operation, they’re taking the S302 Black Label Mustang upgrade and giving it just a little extra love. At least, according to Autoblog. Saleen hasn’t updated their website yet, so this is all on their word.

Saleen is making ten 35th Anniversary Mustangs called the “SA 35”. The usual 5.0-L supercharged V8 that comes in the Black Label has been massaged to produce an extra ten horses, bringing total power up to 780 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque.

In addition to the slight power bump, the SA 35 also comes with a new Black Label hood, some 35th anniversary-specific fenders, and a custom interior for the lucky buyer. Each car will come in characteristic black, white, and yellow paint, along with 35-year 5-spoke silver Monaco 20-inch forged alloy wheels.

There’s also a bunch of badges and stickers everywhere you’d expect.

The rest of the car is basically the same as the S302 Mustang, which is nothing to sneeze at. Upgrades include new Saleen 14-inch vented disc brakes with 6-piston calipers, General G-Max tires, a new limited-slip rear differential, and Saleen’s’ Signature Series S4 suspension which includes Racecraft springs, struts, sway bars, and coilovers.

But nothing identifies a Saleen vehicle more than the custom front fascia, that tosses away the Mustangs hognose for something much sleeker and smoother. Brand new grille, brand new front splitter, and brand new LED headlights are standard features of every Saleen made.

Pricing and availability have yet to be announced, but with only 10 being made, Saleen probably won’t even need to announce them. You’ll just need to give them a call and ask if you want one.
