Tuning house Saleen has unveiled their latest creation: the Sportruck XR.

If you love having a truck that stands out from the crowd, then the Saleen Sportruck might be the truck for you. It may have started life as a regular Ford F-150, but since then its been given an entire truckload of upgrades from wheels to cabin.

First, there’s the power. Saleen says that the Sportruck XR will come with a naturally aspirated or a supercharged version that produces over 700 hp. We haven’t got many details on how Saleen plans to perform this engineering magic trick, but they give us plenty of explanation on the XR’s suspension and exterior upgrades.

To start, there are new 2.5 coil-over shocks on each end with new 13.8-inch vented disc brakes. Two-piston calipers are up front with single-piston calipers in the rear. As an option, you can upgrade those rotors to be either 13.6-inch or 14-inch and upgrade the front calipers to be 6-pistons with your own choice of paint.

A special Saleen bumper now sits both front and rear which adds a skid plate-like extension to cover part of the Sportruck’s internals. There’s also half a cowcatcher bar stretching across the front and an LED light strip to better illuminate the dark and scary woods.

A redesigned grille gets rid of the big “FORD” branding up front, while new sidesteps, hood, and tailgate replace the word Ford with “Saleen”.

A set of new six-spoke 17x8.5-inch wheels adorn each axle with General Tire Grabber X3 tires for each of them.

On the inside, there are new Saleen embroidered headrests, floor mats, and badging can be seen along with new white-faced instrument gauges. A special plaque with Saleen model and a serialized VIN helps drive the whole “Saleen” thing home.

For those looking for an extra element of luxury, Saleen offers the Black Label edition Sportruck XR. This further upgrades the suspension with upper and lower Racecraft control arms, spindles, and Fox-tuned shocks with 12-inches bypass front and 14-inches rear. Oh, and a full leather interior, naturally.

Pricing has yet to be announced, but you can request a quote from Saleen via their website.
