SCA Performance, the Trussville, Alabama-based truck customizer and fabricator, has built over 120,000 vehicles since 1979. They currently offer a wide selection of lifted and customized trucks from Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Dodge, and Jeep. To celebrate their 40th anniversary they're rolling out a special edition - the SCA Performance 40th Anniversary Ford F-150 Limited Edition Black Widow.
Like its spider counterpart, the SCA Ford F-150 Black Widow appears just as deadly. Starting on the outside, SCA applies a custom Black Widow paint scheme and SCA bolt on fender flares are added to accommodate larger wheels and tires lending the Black Widow a menacing look. Special SCA and Black Widow designed badges, emblems and plaques appear throughout the interior and exterior.
Other exterior features includes power running boards, Black Widow hood vents, an SCA front windshield snipe, blue LED rock and puddle lights, and window tint. On the inside, the Black Widow includes blue LED interior lighting, painted interior trim complementing the Black Widow theme, and Limited Edition gauges and a full leather interior.
Performance and off-road features include an SCA 6 inch lift kit and custom suspension, King Off-Road Racing shocks, SCA 22 inch x 12 inch Black Widow wheels shod with 35 inch Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires, and SCA engraved and color matched caliper covers.
SCA Performance doesn't stop there upgrading the exhaust system with a free-flow performance exhaust, an SCA custom calibrated speedometer, and custom road tuning. All the upgrades are fully compliant with applicable FMVSS road rules and SCA extends a 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty to every Black Widow model sold.
The end result is a custom truck with a tight, clean, and professional fit and finish. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear that the SCA Performance Ford F-150 Black Widow rolled right off a Ford dealer lot. It's that good. Driving dynamics, according to early reviews, are also said to be excellent with mild mannered road holding abilities and superior off-road handling. Buckle up.
