On YouTube channel 6Sixty Street, the owner of a 1984 Chevrolet S-10 proves that the small truck from over three decades ago means business on the track.

In a series of races filmed at the Hinton Street Races in Oklahoma, the S-10 puts on an impressive showing as it takes on pickups that are within its same class and beyond.

Check out the YouTube clip to see this S-10 give up everything it can to win.

This S-10 Drag Racer Pickup Is "The Little S-10 That Could"

The video starts with the S-10 backing off of a trailer, and it clearly is not the humble, compact pickup truck from the 80s it was when it left the assembly line.

The rumbling S-10 comes off of a trailer and shows off its exposed small block engine that is visibly upgraded and built for power.

The owner mentions that the S-10 has nitrous, is an '84 and has had some chassis upgrades.

1984 was early in the S-10's model history, making its debut for the 1982 model year.

In its first battle, the compact Chevy truck takes on a lowered, single cab Chevy Silverado.

The S-10 screeches its tires and blows some smoke around as it prepares to line up at the starting line to travel down the strip against the Silverado.

Both trucks are ready for racing and flex their muscles as they prepare to travel down the length of the racetrack against one another.

Next, both trucks begin to sway with the speed they are outputting and as the S-10 begins to move back and forth, the Silverado crosses into the S-10's path.

While the trucks do not collide, it leaves the viewer guessing for just a second what is going to happen next.

After the sun goes down, the S-10 continues to race against other speedy pickups.

Initially, it goes against the GMC version of itself, known in the 80s as the S-15 and later the Sonoma.

For fast truck enthusiasts, the GMC Syclone was the high-performance version of that pickup truck.

Despite essentially being the same truck, their similarities go beyond just their OEM components.

They prove competitive as they travel quickly down the strip and each take off quickly.

However, despite their competitiveness, the S-10 still manages to take the lead.

Later, still at night, the S-10 races another Silverado with a Hoonigan decal on the windshield, like the other trucks that have gone up against the S-10, this Silverado also means business.

While they both put up an impressive showing, the S-10 ends up taking a noticeable lead against the Silverado, proving once again that while it may be a compact pickup truck, it is big on power and is absolutely built for speed, agility and racing abilities.
