Have you ever wondered why car aficionados take already splendid cars and revamp them? Or why anyone would choose to add a body kit to an exotic car that was already intended to be a stunning supercar with impressive power and uniquely balanced design? The simple answer is that some customized body kits improve the car’s performance and, occasionally, they also increase the resale value of the vehicle. And through modifications, the car becomes something like an extension of your personality.

But despite the advantages, the reality is, body kits don’t boost the value of your vehicle. As a Reddit user points out, “Mods are for your own pleasure, you will never get your monies worth if you sell after installation.” Even worse, some modifications will decrease the resale value of your car.

Lots of people enjoy tinkering with their car. Improving its performance, making it more usable for their needs, and changing the overall aesthetics are just some of the things done to personalize a car and make it stand out from the crowd,” says Andre Nalin, HotCars writer. “Personalize is the key word here, though, one person’s preferences don't necessarily match someone else's. A modified car is built to satisfy the current owner's needs, not the general car-buying public, which is one of the reasons it can be much harder to sell a modified car.”

On the positive side, there are also some insane body kits that work and transform your car into an absolute beast. The Zacoe builders exemplified one of these cases, in a collaboration with Frequency Intelligent Exhaust (Fi Exhaust), which transformed a factory McLaren 720S with a carbon fiber wide body named Galaxy. The result? A McLaren with gorgeous body lines and curves.

In the past, Zacoe has enhanced the design of several super vehicles. Their team has revamped the Ferrari SF90 thanks to the carbon fiber splitter and skirts. Additionally, the Zacoe designers have also reimagined the design of the Porsche Taycan and several Mercedes-Benz AMG models and BMWs thanks to their carbon fiber body kits. These vehicles have evolved into genuine works of art that are not only more aesthetically pleasing, but also more functional. And because the Zacoe team is always a step ahead of the competition, they have also created the Zacoe Land shark Supra non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The collection of NFTs was available to consumers who bought the Zacoe Land shark Supra wide body kits. Fans of the brand can find the NFTs in OpenSea.

Car aficionados who found the time to visit the SEMA trade show probably stopped at the MV Forged Wheels booth to admire the McLaren 720S Galaxy Wide Body. While the carbon fiber body kit wasn’t really a secret as Zacoe already presented it in July 2021, it was still remarkable to see the Galaxy finally inaugurated in front of a wide group of car enthusiasts and fans. The best thing about this body kit is that it doesn’t alter the beautiful shapes of the McLaren, giving it an entirely new face, but rather it creates something like a body armor that softens the curves and makes the car look sportier and wider. Zacoe argues that the body kit also improves airflow and heat dissipation, which helps with aerodynamics. It’s also worth mentioning that the Zacoe team handcrafted the kit and used only 240-gram high-density carbon fiber cloth, which is the same grade employed by Bentley, Aston Martin and Mercedes-AMG.

The rear is probably the most impressive part of the body kit. Here, gearheads will discover that Zacoe took a chance, and revised the quad exit exhausts that are remarkably similar to those of the McLaren 765LT. Furthermore, important to note that the quad exit exhausts were actually developed by Fi Exhaust. Meanwhile, at the front, onlookers will discover the bespoke carbon fiber splitter and grille. Elsewhere, the Zacoe team revamped the front air intakes to create a more aggressive look, while the carbon fiber wheel arch extensions have improved aerodynamics. Evidently, every minor detail respects the beautiful design of the car and only enhances the curves.

“McLaren 720S Carbon Fiber Body kit products represent the peak of technology and are unsurpassed for quality and attention to detail,” says Zacoe on its webpage. “Creative, functional and innovative, they are elegantly crafted by professional designers using Zacoe’s savoir-faire.”

Zacoe hasn’t released the pricing for the kit, but for example, the Zacoe Performance Toyota Supra Wide Body Kit is $9,000, according to 1fastsupra.com. Elsewhere, Royal Body Kits retails a Zacoe Lamborghini Huracan LP610 full-body kit for $37,776. Considering that the body kits are hand-made, and they take months to build, the prices are reasonable.
