The Holiday Season has been and gone, but for some it's been a nightmare to just get home for Christmas. One of those who has had to get home for Christmas is Tim Burton, aka Shmee150, who has had to get home from Germany to the United Kingdom. He is back with his Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series after a couple of months, and is literally driving home for Christmas as he seeks to return to Britain.

A Long, Long Journey

The journey that Shmee is heading on is quite a long one, around 400-500 miles to be a bit more precise, and step one was about getting his luggage in the boot, and on the passenger seat which he was able to do. Shmee needed a few things doing to the AMG thanks to Opus. But he doesn’t like leaving his cars sat around for months, so as he was in the area, he thought it was best to get in the car and bring it back home to the UK. Shmee then heads off away from the Nürburgring, and given the horrible weather, he is in mood to rush and wants to drive back home gently.

Heading Down The Autobahn

After going through some twisty roads, he heads onto the Autobahn, and a section of it that is actually unrestricted. Given the weather, though, he decided to take it easy and treat it more like a motorway in the United Kingdom. He talks briefly about winter tires as well, as he had hoped to get winter tires on the SLS Black Series. But given the current travel and logistical issues thanks to the pandemic, he’s simply not been able to do it. A nightmare in some ways, but it's not the end of the world.

Through The Borders And Back Home

Shmee briefly passes through the Netherlands before then going into Belgium, and latterly onto France, making it four countries he has been in before he heads into Britain. It's through the Eurotunnel to get to Britain, and eventually home and the Shmuseum. It seems to have been quite a straightforward journey for Shmee despite the travel rules at the moment, but the SLS Black makes it back home and Shmee is back in the UK just in time for Christmas too.
