Bugatti is one of the most recognizable makers of hypercars and supercars. The Veyron kick-started their new era more than 15 years ago, and since then, the company has made more fast and exotic machines like the Chiron, Divo, and the even more extreme Bolide. Tim Burton, better known as Shmee150, has been lucky enough to take a close-up look and get a ride in one of just 40 Divos ever built, on his Where’s Shmee US Edition tour in Los Angeles.

French Racing Blue Beautifully Accentuates The Satin Gray

This is Burton's first experience with the car, which is driven in the video by his friend Mike @shinmikeyin. The Divo was the third model created by Bugatti, The quad-turbo W16 makes 1,500 hp and its top speed is a duly impressive 236 mph.

This particular Divo is finished in a stunning satin gray with French Racing Blue accents along with the skirts and front lip of the car, and there is exposed blue carbon bodywork at the rear of the car around the engine bay.  The Racing Blue is then extended to the interior.  If that isn't enough to remind you that this German-owned company with the Italian sounding name is in fact French, there is a French flag behind the front wheels.

The Power Delivery Is Incredibly Effortless

The rumble of the car's W16 is something to behold.  Out on the highway in Los Angeles, Shme150 says you really do feel the rush of blood as the car accelerates. But at the same time, there is almost a laidback feel to the car when you put your foot down. It is so effortless as the car accelerates to higher speeds. Shots facing Shmee150 show the rear-wing raising up to slow the car down as Mike slams on the brakes. Another element of the car that is impressive is the level of comfort despite its hyper performance; both elements being core to the Bugatti brand.

Compared To Cars Like The LaFerrari, The Divo Is Very Civilized

They compare the Divo to cars like the LaFerrari and even the Chiron and describe how it feels like you are gaining power and the car is growing as it gets faster and faster. And the way it is so refined and rides so well, something that Bugatti certainly must be praised for. It is, as Mike describes, quite civilized despite being so powerful. Maybe this is the supercar to keep your neighbors happy as you leave your home at 5 am!
