Tim Burton, or Shmee150, is one of the most prolific automotive YouTubers there is. And one thing he is famous for is his incredible car collection, which he calls the Shmeemobiles. These are all housed in what is also called his Shmuseum, his one big home for his cars. And he is about to add another car to his collection full of bright and bold machines. He is taking delivery of his friend's Lotus Elise Cup 250 Edition, and the very last one as well.

Another Car In A Bold Color

This fabulous car is a truly special one of one, and of course the Elise is a special car in the history of Lotus. And this is supposedly the last ever Elise Cup 250 ever built, as the Elise itself bows out from the Lotus range. Shmee150 hops into the Ferrari GTC4Lusso to take it to collect his friend's car. And then we get a look at the rather incredible looking Elise Cup 250 Final Edition, in the RAL 2005 Luminous Orange. And this is a special color, that featured on Lotus IndyCars and the prototypes of the Lancia Stratos and Porsche 911 2.7 RS.

There are some interesting personal details on the Elise, such as the skull and cross bone graphic on the rear wing endplates. The interior is beautiful in its black, and the Elise Final Edition is allso mounted inside the car too. And on the lower part of the firewall, there are signatures by a lot of the people who worked on the car. The 1.8-liter supercharged four-cylinder 250 hp engine is in the back of the car, and it’s mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

Driving The Elise Back To The Museum

Shmee150 then gets behind the wheel of the Lotus to drive it back to the Shmuseum. This is amazingly his first time driving the Elise on a public road. As Shmee says, "it doesn’t need to be a hypercar to be fun." You can get a lot of fun from a plucky little Lotus. And it's certainly outlandish in its Luminous Orange. Perhaps one of the highlights is the shifter and how short a throw it is in the Elise, and it's hard to get over just how small it is. This is without a doubt a truly special Lotus.
