Chevrolet is one of those car manufacturers that has been around for so long that most people just assume it will always be around. The longevity of the brand was possible partly thanks to smart business moves, but mostly because Chevrolet has been releasing some of the best performing American cars on the market.

Among the truck community, Chevrolet becomes Chevy. Chevy trucks are the most serious threat to Ford trucks. Thanks to slick designs and engine trims that are adapted to the reality of the market, Chevy has many shiny days ahead. The best part about Chevy trucks is the possibility to turn them into mean-looking lifted, street-legal monster trucks or strip-ready muscle trucks.

10 6X6 Silverado Goliath

The well-known Texan tuner Hennessey is famous nationwide for turning powerful cars into rocket ships. Mostly known for its Ford Velociraptor, the tuner has a wide range of performance packages for most American sport vehicles available on the market. Though putting mostly promoting the packages available for the Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat, Hennessey cooked up something mouth-watering for the Silverado.

This insane Goliath 800 is equipped with tons of high-end products. Producing a cool 805hp, the Goliath is not your usual truck. With a price tag of $375,000 (including a brand-new Silverado), the Goliath is not the most affordable super-truck on the market.

9 Lowered Silverado

The Chevy Silverado is a beautifully designed truck. Its massive size and imposing front end gives it a very serious look. Being among the best large-sized trucks available on the market, the Silverado has been modified using some of the most extreme styles found in the scene.

This Silverado is conservatively modified, which is what makes so cool-looking. A new suspension kit, some custom headlights, a new Chevy logo, and those huge bronze-colored rims give this Silverado a very unique look. Though no longer fitted for some off-road action, this Silverado is the sexiest couch on wheels drivers will see on the road.

8 Drag-Ready Chevy

Car aficionados have seen about every single vehicle with four wheels turned into a dragster. From Mustangs to lawnmowers and school buses, people have seen everything and anything tearing up the quarter-mile. Given the engine found under the hood of a Chevy C10, it is quite understandable that some C10 owners wanted to go above and beyond.

Information about this C10's engine is not available, but it is safe to assume that it can beat a stock Mustang GT on the strip. The scariest part is that the car is street legal (the telltale sign is the license plate). Imagine this monster take off at a green light. It must be quite the show.

7 Slammed Chevy C10

Each year, Sin City welcomes some of the craziest cars in the US. The Sema Show in Las Vegas is the most popular car show displaying custom rides in the US. In fact, being allowed to showcase a car at the Sema Show is among the greatest achievements a tuner can reach. It is quite normal for some domestic and foreign tuners to prepare a year in advance for the Sema Show.

This emerald and gold C10 is simply gorgeous. Simplistically modified, the truck is nonetheless a major head-turner. The engine is also equipped with a massive turbo thus making this C10 a serious power truck. Bagged trucks are not for everyone but car fans must admit that this truck is perfectly and tastefully modified.

6 Rocky Ridge Chevy

Rocky Ridge Trucks is a company specialized in turning regular trucks into unique sport trucks. The company includes Chevrolet, GMC, Dodge, and Ford trucks in its portfolio. Though not as popular as Hennessey Performance, the Rocky Ridge trucks are nonetheless just as impressive.

The Chevy K2 package includes a variety of modifications for the Silverado 1500 Z71, including a a new lift kit and several other aesthetic parts. As the Z71 is already equipped with a pretty powerful engine (6.2L V8 developing 420hp), Rocky Ridge focused mainly on giving the truck a very peculiar style.

5 Off-Road Colorado ZR2

The Chevy Colorado is not what you would call a typical American truck. Being a mid-sized truck, the smaller Colorado is the direct rival of the Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier. Though not as popular as the Tacoma, the Colorado is still among the most popular mid-sized trucks available in the US.

The ZR2 is the high-end trim of the Colorado. Equipped with a 3.6L V6 developing 308hp, the ZR2 is one powerful truck. This Colorado has been modified by Chevy itself for professional driver Chad Hall. Needless to say, it would be nice to get some off-road action in this bad boy.

4 Kodiak

The Chevy Kodiak C4500 is the rival of the Ford F-650. This mega truck is not a common sight as it is usually used as a work truck. Its 6.6L V8 Duramax producing 330hp allows the truck to tow a total 21,500lbs. That is purely insane. The "civilian" version of the Kodiak can be customized similarly to other Chevy trucks.

This Lamborghini orange Kodiak is definitely a head-turner. It is practically impossible not to see a bright-colored pick up truck the size of three elephants. As if the truck was not massive enough, its owner decided to include a lift kit and some huge blacked out rims.

3 Red Dead Redemption

The designers of the new Silverado did a great job with the grille that morphs with the headlight. It may be a tuner's nightmare, but for car fans out there, it is a pure pleasure. It gives the truck a meaner look. All in all, the Chevy Silverado is very likely to be successful this year again.

This Silverado is not highly modified, but the rims and the paint are surely doing the trick. The Forgiato forged rims seem to have been made especially for this truck. The lift kit does give the truck more stature, but the "everything red" style adopted on this truck is just marvelous.

2 Hercules

The Diesel Brothers have created some of the craziest trucks out there. More often than not, they indulge in modifying good trucks and turning them into luxurious machines that'll perform great when the zombie apocalypse arrives. Whether it is a Ford F-650 lifted limo or a Chevy Silverado turned monster truck, the Diesel Brothers never fail to entertain truck fans.

This Silverado deserves its nickname. Hercules. Being higher and bigger than a regular-sized big rig, the Hercules is the ultimate mud bogging truck out there. It would be good to know if such a truck is still street legal. It would be sad not to be able to drive the truck from its storage to a giant pool of mud.

1 Apache

The 1958 Chevy Apache is a classic work truck. The Apache is also among the best truck to restomod. Its very old school look combined with some of the latest modifications available makes it an absolute marvel. Whether tuners decide to lift, slam, or turn the truck into a hot rod, the result is usually mind-blowing.

This Apache inherited some beautifully chosen rims. The metallic grey chosen for the car is also new-school since such colors were not popular at all during the 1950s. Outside of that, the truck seems to have been kept in a very original condition. Chrome fans will be delighted when looking at the front bumper and grille.
