The 24 Sickest Cars Driven By The Richest Sheikhs

Here's a list of the top 24 sickest cars owned by some of the richest Sheiks.

When it comes to the Middle East, many people think of the sun, the heat, the deserts, and camels. What many people don't think of is the wealth that many have acquired through their families and the titles that some hold. Many Sheikhs enjoy showing off the abundance of fortune that they've acquired that many of us could only dream of. Their car collections are made of some of the most incredible never-before-seen cars. Not only do they enjoy these cars, but they also enjoy showing them off. Great pride and care are given to these beauties.

The Sheikhs have collected cars from around the world and have also designed some of their own concepts. Their collection ranges from classics to some of the most expensive, exclusive cars ever made. In some cases, we could only dream of being able to own and drive these types of cars. Just sitting in one is a privilege, so here's a list of the top 24 sickest cars owned by some of the richest Sheiks.

One car the Sheikh takes great pride in is the Dodge 50-ton Power Wagon, which he also had commissioned. This truck he built was in honor of the fortune his family made when they first discovered oil in the 1950s. This truck is incredible. It's one of the world biggest and makes regular cars seems like toy cars.

This Dodge Power Wagon isn't only drivable; it also has a four-bedroom apartment inside. Bizarbin reports this is one of the favorite cars of the Rainbow Sheikh. Who could blame him? But I imagine that filling the gas tank up or parking it would be a big problem.

The Sheikh had this monster truck replicated to look exactly like the original did back in the day. Growing up, most kids could fit a replica car in the palm of their hands and slip it into their pocket, but no way can you do that with this one. The Sheikh has this on display surrounded by other trucks to highlight just how huge it actually is. There are even other trucks parked underneath it. Standing next to this makes you feel so tiny in comparison. Hopefully, while driving this behemoth, the gas and brake pedals won’t be so hard to reach.

The Double Jeep Wrangler is also in the Sheikh's collection. This Jeep is a monstrous creation. This Jeep is wide and takes up a lot of space on the road. It's like two stretch limos got welded together side by side. It allows for many passengers to ride together, and you could party inside if you wanted to. To drive this, you have to be a good driver, especially when taking turns on the road. I must admit that it would be a cool experience to drive this vehicle. Jeeps can be a lot of fun, and I bet this one would be a blast.

This car is two Jeeps welded together as one, and they don't fit down regular lanes while driving. This vehicle can fit eight people inside, four in front and four in the back. I couldn’t imagine driving this Jeep and trying to take a turn on the road. Driving this car would require some major practice. Jeeps can be so much fun with the top down and on adventures. According to 95Octane, this vehicle was first seen in Morocco a few years ago, and the Sheikh managed to get this vehicle added to his collection.

The Devel Sixteen is a wild car and had to be included in this list. The Devel Sixteen is a beautiful car. It was actually designed after a jet fighter.

Top Speed reports that this car has 5,000 horsepower and has a 12.3-liter V16 engine. This supercar can hit 480 km/h.

The Devel Sixteen will make you feel like a pilot flying an airplane. The design of this car is sleek and aerodynamic. The inside has futuristic controls. Don’t think of trying to drive this car. It’s not street legal yet, so driving it around won't be easy. The company is working on two street-legal versions, so maybe you can give it a spin in the near future.

This car first debuted in Dubai in 2017 and has a price tag starting at $1 million. It's not for the faint of heart. CNN reports that at the speeds this car travels at, you can travel from one end of a football stadium to the other within mere seconds. Al-Attari, the developer of the Devel Sixteen, wants to break world records as he explained in an interview. Al-Attari explains this car is a beast, and you won't be disappointed. This hypercar is a work of art and has been developed in secret for the last 12 years. What a secret to be able to keep.

One of the most extraordinary car collections is owned by Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan. Also known as the "Rainbow Sheikh," he's a member of the ruling royal family in the United Arab Emirates. The Rainbow Sheikh has an incredible collection of automobiles. He enjoys a vast array of different makes, models, and colors. The Sheikh is a huge fan of Mercedes and has an 1889 Mercedes in mint condition. This car is fully restored to its original glory. The 1889 Mercedes is a wire-wheel car with a 2-cylinder V-engine. According to Business Insider, the Sheikh enjoys Mercedes so much, he owns seven Mercedes S-Classes, one for every day of the week painted in different colors. The vehicles are on display at the Emirates National Auto Museum in Dubai.

In 1873, the Benz Patent-Motorwagen with a gasoline-powered two-stroke engine, which is considered to be the world's first production car, was invented.

Karl Benz applied for a patent for the Benz Patent-Motorwagen on January 29, 1886, and it changed history. Before this, everyone was riding on horses and horse-drawn carriages to get around and travel. According to Wayback Machines, Karl Benz invented the first three-wheel vehicle with rubber tires. Within two years of creating the Motorwagen, he began improving the engine and adding a fourth wheel on the Model III. Any car collector would be lucky to have this car in his collection, and the Rainbow Sheikh has proven this by having his example on display.

A Porsche 918 Spyder is also in Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's amazing collection. It has a 4.6-liter V8 engine and delivers 608 hp at 8,500 rpm and races up to 200 km/h. If you're driving this at top speeds, you'll feel its incredible g-force. Car Throttle reports that this amazing car is the fastest production car and is street legal.

It can go from 0- 60 in just 2.2 seconds, making sure you won't be late for anything. This is a car that only the rich can truly enjoy with its starting price tag of $845,000. One can always dream of one day owning one.

The Porsche company was started by Ferdinand Porsche and his son Ferdinand. They started the car company in Stuttgart, Germany in 1931. It wasn’t until the 1950s that the Porsche sports car was introduced and made history. Doug DeMuro of Autotrader got to test the Porsche 918 Spyder. Demuro stated, "It's the fastest car I've ever driven and the best-handling; it's impossible not to feel like Superman behind the wheel.” In this car, you'll zip around with no problems. It's definitely a beauty.

Only 500 LaFerrari coupes have been made, and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani owns one in red. Car and Driver reports that this car goes from 0 to 150 mph in 9.8 sec and goes faster than the Bugatti Veyron. It reaches full g-force at 70 mph with 950 horsepower. The cockpit of this car is designed for high performance; even the steering wheel has controls and gear levers on the steering column. The last one was produced in August 2016 and was auctioned for $7 million, making it the most expensive car in the world. The Sheikh is very lucky owning one.

LaFerrari is the most extreme road car by Ferrari. Only 500 LaFerraris were ever made, making this a very rare vehicle. According to Brand Finance, Ferrari was rated the world's most powerful brand in 2014. Any sports-car enthusiast would enjoy this car. The Verge also reported that Justin Bieber is a huge fan of this car.

In Dubai, a popular sport is sand racing, which is understandable, with the desert at their fingertips. Having fun is what it’s all about. The openness and the sand dunes give the Rainbow Sheikh an opportunity to enjoy his dune buggy collection, which includes this Rolls-Royce Sand Buggy. It was made to resemble a 1930 Rolls-Royce. This car is made to be enjoyed. Regardless if you're at the beach or the desert, this is the perfect car. It must be a great experience to zip around at top speeds with nothing to worry about, except maybe a sunburn. If you ever get a chance to enjoy this car, bring your sunglasses and sunscreen along.

Dune buggies became popular in the 1950s and the early 1960s. People in Southern California wanted to have more fun on the beaches and tried driving their cars through the sand. It didn't work out too well for them, so they started creating their own to do just that. According to the Curbside Car Show, people began to modify all sorts of cars by piercing and welding them together in order play on the beach. Bruce Meyers is credited with creating the first street-legal fiberglass dune buggy in 1964. He began being featured in magazines for his unique design and subsequently started B.F. Meyers & Company. His dune buggies were made to resemble other cars. So, with having a giant playground at his disposal in Dubai, it's no wonder that the Rainbow Sheikh would have one designed to look like a luxury car.

The Sheikh is a huge Star Wars fan, and one car, in particular, that's amazing to see is his VW Eurovan. Speedhunters reports that the Sheik had scenes from Star Wars episode four to six are painted all over this van. The artwork is beautifully painted in vibrant colors and details. The details are so amazing that they look like actual film posters. Darth Vader looks real on the passenger side door. Other characters such as Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia are also painted on it, bringing balance to the mural. Characters from the film, as well as spaceships and planets, are painted. Anyone who likes the Star Wars movies will love this car. The VW Eurovan was introduced in 1992 as a 1993 model.

This van has a 109-horsepower, 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine and comes with either standard or automatic transmission.

This van grew in popularity. All different types of people purchased this van. Not only is it good for businesses and transporting small cargo loads, but it's also used for weekend camping trips. According to Car and Driver in 2000, sales began dropping for this van. Then, VW transformed this van into what it is today, with 201 horsepower at 6,200 rpm. It's no surprise that this van is in the Rainbow Sheik's collection.

Besides being a Star Wars fan, the Sheikh is also a huge fan of trucks and SUVs. Small or big, it doesn't make a difference to him. Which brings us to this next gem: the Lamborghini LM002. This is the first SUV that the company produced. This is a luxury SUV, with a 290-liter fuel tank, full leather trim, and special tires that can handle almost any terrain. IMCD reported that this special SUV was featured in the Fast and Furious movie in 2009, so you know it can handle anything and look good doing it.

According to Lamborghini, the Lamborghini LM002 was first introduced at the Geneva Auto Show in 1982. First known as the Cheetah in 1977, this vehicle went through major transformations before it was remarketed for the public. Not only were the engine and the transmission revamped to make them more powerful and handle better, but also, the interior got a makeover. This made this SUV perfect for traveling through anything and having fun with. The Sheikh has this vehicle on display at the Emirates National Auto Museum for anyone to look at.

With a love for SUVs and Mercedes-Benz, this is the perfect car for the Sheikh. Mercedes-Benz describes the G63 AMG 6x6 vehicle as a desert daredevil. It's considered one of the best off-roaders ever created. Unlike other cars, this one can handle any ground terrain and climb any sand dune and can handle any type of weather as well.

It comes with six driven wheels and has 544 horsepower. Not only is this a tough car, but it's also a luxury vehicle. No one would expect anything less from Mercedes.

I can't blame the Sheikh for adding this modified monster truck to his collection. Mercedes-Benz considers this as the best cross-country vehicle ever made. Its brings high-class comfort to its driver and passengers. This car has a price tag of around $975,000, making it very exclusive. In 2007, Mercedes developed this car for the Australian Army. Between 2013 and 2015, sales exceeded over 100 vehicles. Motorhead reports that this amazing vehicle has been featured in the 2014 film Beyond the Reach. In 2015, according to Mercedes-Benz, it was also featured in the 2015 film Jurassic World.

Next on the list is the Sheikh's Globe Caravan. Now, this is a one-of-a-kind vehicle. This is his custom Black Spider concept car that he designed. The Sheikh wanted it to be in the shape of the world, and it's an actual scale replica of the Earth. Inside this vehicle, there are nine bedrooms (each with an own bathroom) and a kitchen distributed over three separate floors. It's a mini hotel on wheels. No matter if you're traveling overnight or going on a camping trip, you can bring your whole family along with you. There's no other vehicle like this in the world.

If you take this camping, everyone will notice you and want to check it out. The Sheikh has allowed this caravan to be parked outside the Emirates National Auto Museum. A big globe on two wheels, it's one of the first things visitors get to see when going there. Visitors are allowed to go inside this caravan and explore the inside of it. Even though this caravan is a camping hotel on wheels, it isn't street legal. Street legal or not, this is a cool thing to actually create. Who could own a giant globe and turn it into a camper just for fun? The Rainbow Sheikh can.

via Daily Geek Show

The Sheikh also owns the world's biggest Bedouin Caravan, which is a fact that shouldn’t surprise anyone. This Bedouin Caravan made the Guinness Book of World Records in 1993 for being the biggest caravan. No matter where you travel with this, you'll be noticed, which is exactly what the Sheikh likes.

It contains 8 bedrooms and 4 garages, which allows the Sheikh to take some of his cars with him. The Bedouin Caravan measures 20 m in length, 12 m in height, and 12 m in width.

This Caravan is kept parked outside his museum in Dubai. It's parked there so people can see it while waiting to enter the museum.

Most Star War fans will recognize this vehicle as the Sandcrawler. The Sandcrawler is a fortress on wheels used by Jawa scavengers. Scavengers in the film used this vehicle on desert planets in search of valuables and also were able to hold 1,500 droids, according to Fandom. So, it stands to reason why the Sheikh would own one. With the Arabian desert right there, it seems appropriate to use this. To be able to use this out in the desert and spend a few nights in this looking at the stars in comfort has to be really cool, making any Star Wars fan feel like they're apart of the series.

One of the Rainbow Sheik's favorite cars, according to Car Throttle, is his 1954 Dodge Lancer. This car is all original and is in mint condition. The paint on the car, along with the interior, is original. It also only has delivery miles. This is a very rare Dodge, especially today. This car would be cool to drive, and you'd be taken back in time. This classic car is truly a piece of American automobile history.

This car was used for cruising down the strip, racing, going to the beach, and taking long trips. This car is beautiful, and anyone who owns this truly classic car is lucky. The 54 Dodge Lancer has 110 horsepower and comes in convertible and hardtop versions. Its chrome rear-fender trim was designed to look like fins. This classic car has to be amazing to take out for a cruise on a beautiful Sunday afternoon or on a warm Saturday evening. This car makes you wish they would bring back drive-in movie theaters and restaurants. Things sure have changed since the 1950s.

Now, we couldn't have left the Giant Texaco Tanker off the list. This is a huge tanker, and the Sheikh has it in honor of all the wealth he's gained. He gained his fortune from oil, so it's a particularly nice way to honor it. It's no surprise that it would be in his collection. Most people who collect trucks can only collect Texaco’s diecast toy cars. This shows the power and wealth that has been gained through the oil industry.

Texaco has been in business for many years and is owned by the Chevron Corporation. The Chevron Corporation is an American company that began in 1879 and is active in 180 countries. According to SEC database, On October 15, 2000, Chevron bought Texaco for approximately $95 billion, which makes this the fourth biggest company merger in history. The company works with energy resources ranging from oil to natural gas. When it comes to transporting fuel, they use ships, trains, trucks, and tankers.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani of Qatar can't be missed on this list. He also really enjoys his "big boy" toys and showing them off. An example of this is his McLaren P1. McLaren reports that only 350 of them will be produced and that this special car is built to perform. Every part of this car was designed to a tee. It also has the cockpit angled towards the center of the car. This car has a 7-speed seamless shift dual clutch and has an output of 986 horsepower. It has a mounted Inconel and titanium-alloy exhaust, which is exclusive to this car.

McLaren P1 was first introduced in 2012, during the Paris Motor show. According to Money Inc, at that time, all 375 of the production models were spoken for.

The company also created the carbon-fiber tub for this road car, making this car highly extremely desired. The McLaren P1 isn't cheap. You'll need to reach deep into your pockets to pay its starting price of a staggering $3.36 million. With everything this car does and its design, it would be a great investment; it’s also why the Rainbow Sheikh also has one in his collection in Dubai.

via forum.pagani-zonda.net

Also in Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's collection of cars is the Pagani Huayra Purple. This car made the list for a reason, besides being in my favorite color. Only three of these cars were made. This Pagani Huayra even comes with 20- and 21-inch gold wheels. It also pumps out 730 horsepower from a twin-turbo V12, 5,980 cc engine sourced from Mercedes. In this car, you'll fly down the road. At top speeds, you'll be a blur zooming by. It really would be so much fun driving this and seeing how it handles.

Now, this car is pretty cool, but you won't see the Pagani Huayra on any road in the United States. It isn't street legal in the U.S. as of right now. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration hasn't approved it. Jay Leno, who's also an avid car collector himself, stated during the “supercar of the year" awards that the Pagani Huayra is "unbelievable, like a dream come true." I do agree with Leno about this car; it's truly fantastic. This car is reserved for a special set of people, as it has a starting price of $1.6 million.

This is an extraordinary car. It has a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter 16-cylinder engine, and the turbocharging system generates 1,500 horsepower. This amazing car can hit 300 mph in a quarter-mile according to Car and Driver. The aerodynamics of Chiron makes this a wild car to look at.

The inside is just as amazing with the world's longest built-in LED illumination system and a cockpit that lets the driver know everything about the vehicle. To drive this, you need an open road to hit full speed. This isn't a car to take to the local grocery store.

The Bugatti Chiron first made its debut in 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show. This car has quickly gained popularity since it was shown, and buyers have been lining up since. The price tag for the Chiron starts at $3.34 million. Car Buzz reported that Bugatti President Stephan Winkelmann stated that the Chiron was a "highly individualized masterpiece of automobile craftsmanship." The 100th handcrafted Chiron was just made by the company. Sheik Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani is very fortunate to own one.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani also owns a Koenigsegg CCXR "Special One." It can travel at speeds of 0-100 km in just 3.1 seconds with a 4.8-liter twin-supercharged engine. According to Classic Car Weekly, only 48 of these cars were ever made between 2006 and 2010, making this a really special supercar. This entire car is in a beautiful turquoise blue with a stunning plush leather interior. Black diamond stitching on the seats makes the name stand out, and all the car dials are made out of silver. The car has a special engraved plate that says it was manufactured for Sheikh Al- Thani. This car is truly fit for a king to enjoy.

Koenigsegg reports on their website that since the Koenigsegg CCXR was released, there has never been this type of car on the market. This car is considered a piece of art. The CCXR is a unique collector's item. Only the rich can afford this superior hypercar with its cost starting at $4.8 million. Some of the owners of this hypercar, besides the Sheikh, are Hans Thomas Gross and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

This Lamborghini has a V12 engine and can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. Riding in this, you'll be noticed. This car is part of Lamborghini's one-off limited-edition series. This is an extreme car design with glossy and matte-finished carbon-fiber accents and can be made in any color you wish. It's Lamborghini’s most powerful car to date and is definitely not meant for amateurs drivers.

The cost of this wild car is $1.9 million. I personally think that this magnificent car puts the Batmobile to shame.

I simply love the Lamborghini Centenario. Driving this car, who needs to fly in a plane with the speeds it can achieve? According to Motor Trend, this car is very loud, having three separate exhaust pipes. However, the Chief Technical Officer at Lamborghini, Maurizio Reggiani, said that customers were complaining it wasn't loud enough, which is pretty hard to believe.

The number one car on the list is a Mercedes SL600 owned by Prince (Amir) al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia. This really is a special car and speaks for itself. This car has 300,000 diamonds and has real mink inside.

Cars of Japan reported that it took two weeks and at least 13 people to hand place the diamonds on the car. This car is kept in the car museum in Dubai for people to enjoy. The only thing is if you even just want to touch it at the museum, it'll cost you around a thousand dollars.

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but Prince (Amir) al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdul-Aziz loves them, too. That's so obvious with the Mercedes SL600 covered in diamonds. The Prince owns a few of these cars in different colors and covered them with diamonds also. This isn't the type of car that you ever see being parked on the side of the road. You would have to be crazy to do so. Only a multi-billionaire is capable of doing something like this, and the prince succeeded. This car has to be a sight to see in the sun or under bright lights, causing an array of colors and sparkles.
