Japan’s influence on the world’s automotive market is colossal. As of the 1960s, the country was already ranked among the top three car producers in the world. But it has only gotten better production-wise, as it is currently second only to China in the world automotive production rankings. Furthermore, asides from being a car production giant, Japan has also found its way into the aftermarket sphere. From classics to modern cars, the Japanese aftermarket scene is buzzing with activities, and RE Amemiya is among the market leaders.

Formed in 1974 by Isami Amemiya, the JDM aftermarket company specializes in souping up Mazda’s rotary engines. As such, even the ‘RE’ in its name means ‘Rotary Engine.’ RE Amemiya joined the Japanese GT series with custom versions of the FD3S RX-7 in 1995. This resulted in the Tomisato-based company deploying some of its incredible race cars production technology into street-going cars. These examples are some of the craziest we’ve seen.

The “King Devil", or Maou, as this car is called, was built for the tracks. A veteran of the Gunsai touge, Amemiya-san knew that for any car to excel at the Gunsai its balance must be given high priority. The king Devil has that covered.

Also, the car’s lime-green finish is enthralling, but this will only distract enthusiasts from its actual magic, a 400 hp-producing newly rebuilt and balanced 13B side-ported engine. The car’s exterior also features a RE-Amemiya Super Greddy 3 complete kit, among others.

The Mazda RX-7 has proven to be a great tool in the hands of the extremely crafty RE-Amemiya, and here, we see the tuning shop adorn this example with its iconic AD GT kit set. The front fascia becomes meaner courtesy of a Facer AD02 front bumper and an AD Hood-9 bonnet.

About 20 mm has also been added to the width, thus creating ample space for wider wheels and tires. Furthermore, the car features a streamlined fixed headlamp setup instead of the conventional pop-up headlamps.

The spec list of this car is insane, to say the least. Let’s highlight some starting from the most conspicuous, the exterior. The car is fitted with RE Amemiya’s FACER N1 05 model front aero bumper with AD Hood-9 bonnet and GT AD widebody Kit. On the rear, it has the rear diffuser and the ESPRIT carbon 1700mm GT wing.

It’s hard to not stare at a RE Amemiya’s tuned car and it’s the same with this Graham’s FD3S RX-7, which features the awesome RE Amemiya AD-GT wide-body kit. It has a full-front bumper with a carbon diffuser, fancy headlight kit, carbon gt2 wing, and carbon AD-9 vented hood.

The car was also repainted in the shiny Bathurst R Sunburst Yellow paint it was manufactured with. The owner, Graham, had to shell out $50k for the upgrades under the hood, pushing it to an insane output of around 400 horsepower.

This 1993 FD is wearing a very rare RE Amemiya re-skin, and it looks epic. Specifically, the car adorns the RE Amemiya AC987 aero body kit while its mechanics remain largely unchanged. Asides from the plain white new skin, the car also features a huge custom exhaust, producing one of the most deafening roars you’ll ever get on an FD.

The wheels aren’t stock either, they’re 3-piece 18-inch alloys supplied by Manaray, while the interior is fitted with custom double DIN and cloth bucket seats.

We found this amazingly attractive full build RE Amemiya 1993 Mazda RX-7 and we just had to put it on this list. The current owner had bought it from the first-ever owner in 2007, as a stock 1993 Mazda RX-7 R1 with 45,000 miles on it. Then he got to work on the car.

Having been fitted with an RE Amemiya widebody kit, the car is then given a full-body repaint to Lexus Eminent White Pearl. The car also features a RE-Amemiya AD9 hood fitted with a custom sequential LED headlight.

According to its owner, this fully kitted 1994 Mazda RX-7 used to be a display car at the RE Amemiya shop in Japan. Some of the modifications on the car include RE Amemiya AC037 and AC987 kit combo as well as the RE Amemiya side mirrors and carbon door handles.

RE Amemiya would rotary swap anything and this rotary-powered Lotus Europa is an example of such. Fabricated in 2013, the car was swapped with a 3 rotor 20B rotary, making it the second time the company worked on a Lotus Europa.

Courtesy of its three rotors, the car churns out about 315 horses, and it also uses modifications such as a Sabu silencer, as well as RE Amemiya GT oil filter, plug cord, exhaust manifold, and more. Also, the exterior was completely overhauled with RE Amemiya body kit and Porsche 993 headlights, among others.
