To say that Simon Cowell is a media personality is an understatement and doesn't begin to explain the accomplishments of the man and his depth as a savvy entrepreneur. The 60-year old London born TV personality, businessman, record executive, and talent manager, has branded himself into a one-man powerhouse with a string of TV hits such as The X-Factor, Britain's Got Talent, America's Got Talent, and American Idol.

He is also an astute collector of art, real estate, and sport and luxury automobiles. He has a Bugatti Chiron, more than one Rolls-Royce, Ferraris, and one very special 2009 Bentley Azure Convertible. And if you ever entertained aspirations to become a little bit like Simon yourself, here's your opportunity because his Bentley will be on the auction block at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona from January 11-19, 2020.

What It Is

The 2009 Bentley Azure Convertible is the last year of the second generation Arnage-based platform of the marquee's 2 door 2+2 Grand Touring drop top. She sports a 6.75 liter twin turbocharged V-8 engine, a ZF 6-speed automatic transmission, and weighs in at a rather portly 5,900 lbs. and change.

Details, Details, Details

Simon's Bentley is a beautiful example of the Azure Convertible with a triple black theme, an original 1,759 miles since new, and a clean CARFAX report. The interior is awash in select hardwoods and hides personally selected by Cowell himself. The car was reportedly plucked from his personal collection to make space for new acquisitions and the apparent lack of use of the car.

How Much And Where?

Barrett-Jackson has not released a pre-sale estimate of the car as celebrity vehicles are often hard to attach a number to. But the car is in excellent condition, it's associated with Cowell, and it is in a popular color combination and well optioned so expect bidding to be brisk. The Barrett-Jackson Auction opens in Scottsdale, Arizona on January 11th running continuously through the 19th. Check it out and buckle up.
