We all know that Tesla produces quick cars. And currently, the fastest Tesla that you and I could purchase is the Model S. And it has various options available as well to make it even faster. And given the power that the electric drivetrains give you off the line, it's no wonder people have been excited to do drag races with the cars. And one of these guys is Emir Tunçyürek. He is trying to advance e-mobility adaptation in his home country of Turkey, and he has pitted six Teslas against each other. Five Model S variants, and then a Model X SUV as well.

The Various Model S Variants (And Model X)

So, let's kick things off and look at the models of the car that Emir has pitted against each other. The Model S variants are the 90D, the 100D, the P85D from 2015, a P90D from late 2016, and a P100D, the most powerful Model S variant, from 2017. Then of course there is the Model X. This particular edition is the P90D. Now then, we will get onto the real reason you are reading this article. Which Tesla finished ahead.

Just something else to point out about the 100D edition of the Model S. Its 0-60 time? Just 2.5 seconds. That is up there with some of the fastest supercars and hypercars, if not even quicker than certain cars. It is the single fastest accelerating production car ever made. And that comes from the instant torque and drive you to get when you put your foot down in an electric car. Don't forget that there is also the Cheetah mode on these cars as well. This was highlighted very well in a video by Shmee150.

Who Came Out On Top?

Onto the drag race. If you don’t want to know the results, we suggest you look away now. Okay, so over the 1 km run, the P85D was the car that got the cleanest start. We can put that down to how fast everyone reacted to the call to go. But it was not long before the P90D and the P100D caught up to it. Predictably, the Model X wasn’t as close. Who won? Well, it was always going to be the P100D. It is remarkable watching the race to see just how varied the performance of each of the Teslas was.
