If this slammed and blacked-out 1965 Buick Riviera made it back to the Sin City of the ‘70s, the crime lords and mob bosses would grab it in a jiffy.

Sleek and with a little bit of menace, this is the classic we’d all love to have today. For now, it’s the imagination of Emmanuel Brito, displayed on his Instagram page via a request from car guy Bob Baker who wants to make it real. We can’t wait.

This ’65 Buick Riviera Is A ‘Slammed’ Dunk

Brito introduced his work as “l black Slammed a '65 Buick Riviera. What do you think? Another project brought to virtual reality with the vision of the client, the rendering is the best of this world.”

Looking at the mirror-like black finish of the car, we have to agree. When this automotive designer says he’s “black slammed” this classic, he’s not kidding. The car is as dark as the Batmobile itself with blacked-out windows and steel mesh on the originally hidden headlamps. Even the front grille is Batman black.

It hugs the ground with a front fender skirt and a rear underskirt which is almost fin-like. There's also a dual exhaust to show off its sporty prowess. A classic this good has to come bearing supercharged V8 power or at least come with turbocharged adrenaline.

Making This Buick Render A Reality

The Buick lover who wants this render turned into a reality is Bob Baker, who had nothing but praise to offer to Brito and his fantastic CGI make.

The 1965 Buick Riviera is the last of the first generation of the Riviera and brought back the big guns in the form of the 6.6-liter V8 Buick “Nailhead” engine. The first-generation Riviera sold in massive numbers and set a precedent for further Riviera generations.

At the time, Sergio Pininfarina had called it one of the most beautiful American cars ever built, marking a return to the simplicity of American car design. Given its landmark design, the first-generation Buick Riviera is highly sought after by collectors and classic car fans alike.

To have this classic reimagined into a modern avatar but bearing the same retro dimensions and reputable V8 genetics would be a dream to see. We can only imagine that thunderous engine note as Baker turns the engine and drives off into the sunset.
