A sleeper is defined by the Urban Dictionary as "A car that has high performance but intentionally looks to be ordinary or even beat up." In other words, a fast car that looks slow. And thanks to modern automotive innovations like turbochargers and electric engines, normal-looking cars are faster than ever. To put things into context, an Aston Martin DB9 from the year 2006 could complete a 0-60 mph sprint in as little as 4.4 seconds, but their new DBX 707 SUV can complete it in just over 3 seconds.

With that kept in mind, here are the quickest sedans, SUVs, wagons, and even electric cars you never knew could mop the floor with even some of the finest supercars the world has ever seen.

Let's start off big; by big, we mean 5,300 lbs in weight, 17.5 feet in length, and 6.4 feet in width. And of course, an excess in size on the outside meant an excess of size under the hood too.

The 2022 Audi S8 has a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 pumping 563 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque under its hood. Thanks to Audi's genius Quattro all-wheel-drive system, this massive luxury sedan is able to catapult to 60 mph from rest in a hilarious 3.2 seconds, which is absolutely insane considering that's about as long as it takes their most powerful RS5 variant.

We all know the M5 Competition is a super saloon capable of reaching 60 mph from 0 in under 3 seconds, but one of its lesser models, the M550i is often overlooked. It too inhabits a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine, but instead of producing 627 hp, it only produces 523 hp, but do keep in mind, that this is still more than the new BMW M3 has.

Therefore, this baby M5 can catapult to 60 mph in as little as 3.5 seconds without sacrificing a comfortable ride, and it will have Mustang GT owners second-guessing their choice at the drag strip.

The V60 is Volvo's station wagon variant of their sports sedan, the S60, and because of its family-friendly design, no one would ever suspect it can achieve a 0-60 time in a mere 4.4 seconds. The secret lies behind the relation between the powertrain and drivetrain.

The V60 T8 is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four that's not just supercharged and turbocharged, but it also receives some assistance from an electric motor that results in a net total power output of 415 hp and 494 lb-ft o torque- and of course, all of this is divided between its four wheels.

The hybrid version of the RAV4, called the Prime, is in an unbelievable high demand, and it's easy to see why. On the outside, it might look just like any old Toyota SUV, just with a few subtle tweaks like a two-tone color scheme, but underneath something exquisite is resting.

The Prime's turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine gets the assistance of two electric motors that lead it to produce a combined power output of more than 300 hp, and because the RAV4 is all-wheel-drive, it can achieve an impressive 5.4-second 0-60 time, which isn't that far behind the Toyota Supra.

Once again, we have a Swedish sleeper, only this time, it comes in a mini SUV format called the XC40. There are countless trim levels offered throughout the XC40 range, but the one that stands out the most has to be the Recharge P8. This will be the first electric-only car on our list, with a second one soon to follow.

The Recharged P8 makes use of two electric motors that result in a total power output of more than 400 hp and 486 lb-ft of torque, because it only weighs 4,800 lbs (yes, that's light for an electric car), this little compact SUV can reach 60 mph from dead in just over 4 seconds.

3 BMW M3 Touring

The M3 Touring has just been unveiled a few days ago, and it exceeded our expectations in every single way. Not only is it an M3 in sheep's clothing since it features the same 510-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-six found in the Competition, but it's just 190 lbs heavier than its sedan counterpart.

That means it can reach 60 mph from naught in 3.6 seconds, but its most impressive feat by far is that it won the title of the fastest wagon around the Nurburgring, dethroning the Mercedes-AMG E63 S. Speaking of the devil...

And we've reached our most pulverizing super wagon to date, the E63 S. Many diehard wagoneer fans might argue that the Audi RS6 should be on this list, and while they definitely have a point, its angular, aggressive design was just too much to lank it a spot on our list today, especially when compared with the blatant boring styling of its Mercedes rival - and boring in this case, is a good thing.

Doug DuMuro himself went on to call the E63 "the dream family car" because it's equally practical as it is fast. Underneath its hood lurked a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with 612 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission; with the likes of Mercedes' 4MATIC+ system, it can drift, or do a 0-60 time of 3 seconds dead with just the flip of a switch.

The BMW iX is a rather divisive car; on the hand it's ugly, but on the other hand, it stands out, on the hand, an electric car shouldn't be labeled as an M-light car, but on the other hand, its performance figures say otherwise, and so the list goes on and on and on.

When the iX M60 is put into sports mode, its electric powertrain evokes 610 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque, which is almost as much horsepower as an M5, but much more torque. Despite it being the size of an ambulance and weighing nearly 6,000 lbs, the top-of-the-range performance-orientated iX can dash from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. When will quick become too quick?
