On Varryx' YouTube automotive news channel, the supercar stalker shows some footage of what he calls a "Lamborghini Huracán, but on steroids", otherwise known as the Lamborghini Sterrato prototype.

The brief video manages to get a glimpse of the off-road designed Lamborghini with some other Lamborghinis driving on a street.

Lamborghini's Sterrato is a unique vehicle concept from the supercar brand and despite previously believed to be on hold, Varryx's observation seems to signal a possible re-commitment by the brand.

The Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato Prototype Is Here

The Sterrato is a Lamborghini Huracán-based off-road supercar and has gotten spied doing testing before, as far back as 2019.

It's believed the car is entering production soon with a global unveil expected to come - spy images thus far show the car with a higher ground clearance and possible all-wheel drive setup.

This car is also seen with skid plates, roof rails and air scoops and the prototype does differ slightly from the concept, which is often the case, as vehicles edge closer to production.

Reports state that the Sterrato will have the 5.2L naturally aspirated V10 engine from the Huracán EVO that outputs 631 horsepower along with a 7-speed transmission and all-wheel drive system.

Varryx states in the description of the YouTube video that it's unknown whether the Sterrato will be part of a limited-production series or a one-off production car, but there is hope it is a production model in some capacity.

This test mule certainly sports a new look not commonly seen on Lamborghinis.

A New Addition To The Lamborghini Lineup

In the video, the Sterrato has roof bars and an air scoop with a body based on a Huracán Evo - the test mule looks just like a testing vehicle with visible masking tape on the body and around some of the panels as well as mismatched brake calipers that are different bright colors.

The Sterrato seen in the video has unique, new wheels and a big roof scoop on the top of the roof cover.

More information is forthcoming to confirm additional details but the car remains to be expected by the end of the year.

The Lamborghini brand has an excellent portfolio of performance supercars including the Aventador, Huracán and Urus; with their lineup known for being some of the finest supercars in the world, the Sterrato would be a unique approach for the brand to pair a different type of capability with their already well-executed performance cars.

Additional details would shed more light on the Sterrato's future, but these recent observations by Varryx are certainly encouraging.
