The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is when the Corvette goes from being a sports car to a supercar. The 2019 edition is seen as a fitting finale to the front-engine Corvette, with the latest C8 becoming a mid-engine affair. Only 2,000 or so ZR1s were produced in 2019, and this one in Sebring Orange is one of them and is set to be part of the Mecum Auctions lots being sold from May 14-22. This ZR1 is heading to auction in effectively brand-new condition.

As mentioned above, only 2,000 of these ZR1s were produced in 2019 and this is 007 of the Chevrolet production line. Like its siblings that left before and after, it's powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that produces 755 hp as well as 715 ft-lb of torque. The ZR1 is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and that mighty V8 allows the Corvette to power its way to a top speed of 212 mph, firmly into high-level supercar territory. But the excitement does certainly not end there.

To keep the fun happening, this Corvette has Brembo carbon-ceramic anti-lock brakes as well as a performance exhaust and performance traction management. These features all came on the ZR1 as standard. Perhaps best of all though, this particular ZR1 is coming with the ZTK Track Performance package, to squeeze even more speed out of an already incredibly fast car. This package includes a higher fixed-wing, and carbon-fiber end caps on the front splitter. Plus, for extra grip, there are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

Bronze Interior Is A Unique Feature

There are further luxurious options on the car, hinting the owner was not afraid to splash out. The Corvette comes with an exclusive bronze aluminum interior trim as well as a blackout roof decal, to really set it apart from other ZR1s that left the production line in close proximity. Mecum also is providing the original window sticker as well, and that says the original vehicle price was $149,895. But expect this to go for much more now and to be prepared to fork out plenty of cash if you want to get your hands on this rather epic example of a 2019 ZR1.
