Nicholas Marks is a soft-spoken guy, so he lets his ride speak for him. Since it did take him five years to decide on the car he wanted, and then finally decided to go for a Corvette C6 ZR1, we’d say, he used that time right to get a stunning ride.

YouTube Channel That Racing Channel not only spoke to Marks about his supercar “stock” Chevy ‘Vette, but also gave us a sneak peek into all that it could do. Which is a lot!

A Stock Engine Married To Performance Parts

“The motor itself is still stock bottom and still has stock rods and pistons”, says Marks, as he introduces us to his stunning ‘Vette. It does have a Kong 2650 supercharger along with a Kong 5-inch intake and a billet tensioner from the same brand, with a 275 billet.

Marks goes on to list that the ‘Vette also has 2-inch American Racer headers on it, a custom grind cam, and a ton of other stuff that coaxes the stock engine to go above and beyond the call of duty and churn out way more horsepower than you’d imagine.

Marks said they stopped the horsepower at 950 because, for now, they just wanted to see what the car could do on the track. And this is what it did…

Betting $10,000 On The Corvette ZR1

The Corvette went up against a Chevrolet Blazer and right from the first rev, it seemed the Blazer was oozing power, but too much for the driver to handle.

Within seconds of the race, the Blazer veered madly off course towards the right, and then when the driver overcorrected the skid, it smashed into the safety barricades on the opposite end. The video captions did say that while the car got smashed, the driver was okay. Either way, not only did the driver lose his $10k, but he would also have to fix his car later.

What’s also interesting to see in Mark’s Corvette ZR1, is that it's not a manual. Marks wanted it to be automatic, so had the transmission modified to get the car of his dreams. Or, like the Blazer’s owner discovered, every competitor’s nightmare!

The engine’s scream as it goes by is way more than your average ‘Vette and sounds like a death wish, very different from his owner’s Southern drawl. Clearly, some prefer to let their rides do the talking on the track, and Nicholas Marks’ Corvette is happy to be in the spotlight.
