Chip Foose is an American automobile designer, artist, and former star of the reality television series, Overahulin'. Overhaulin' is an American car reality series that originally ran for five seasons between 2004-2008 on TLC, and aired its sixth season premiere in 2012 on Velocity and Discovery - after a lengthy four-year break. Just check out these 14 coolest cars from Overhaulin' (and skip the one ugly one).

After this sixth season premiere, the show, once again, underwent another long-term hiatus. In June of 2019, it was announced that the show would be returning for a new season on Motor Trend, an American sports television network that is a venture of Discovery Inc. and Source Interlink.

The show's hosts used to be Chip Foose and co-host Chris Jacobs, a television host and personality who is also the host of "Long Lost Family" on TLC channel. After Chip Foose hosted the show prior to cancellation, what did he get up to next? I mean, this show was one of the greatest car shows on air - and could be a great one to start binge-watching now!

Chip Foose was born in 1963 in Santa Barbara, California, and began working at his father's car shop from a very young age, spurring his love of automobiles and repairs. He landed jobs after going to school at Art Center College of Design with Sternberger Design and Boyd Coddington, eventually scoring the gig of the president of Hot Rods, a company owned by Boyd.

After this company went bankrupt in 1998, he and his wife decided to open their own shop in Huntington Beach, rebuilding cars for celebrities and winning trophies for his car creations.

His list of achievements continues - and is almost infinitely long. He has won the Ridler Award four times, the most prestigious award in the indoor custom car show industry.
