The IROC-Z era for the Chevrolet Camaro was not always one of the happiest times for the classic muscle car, but it was certainly one of the most memorable in the car's history. This is in part due to the sleek, sports car looking style that the car took on in that time. For something even more unique, talented digital car renderer Jim, known as @jlord8 on Instagram, has produced this radical stretched version of the Camaro IROC-Z.

The Classic IROC-Z Lines Are Still Here

First things first, looking overall at the car, the classic Camaro lines are still there. The front fascia, with its somewhat angular lines and the square headlights, are pleasingly untouched. The rear end of the car also looks to be almost untouched too. The rear lip spoiler is visible, for example. It's understandably in the middle of the Camaro that things are quite different. First off, there is the obvious. The IROC-Z is now stretched considerably, to the point two extra doors have formed. This turns the former coupe into a sedan, and there is a nice touch when it comes to those doors.

Suicide Doors Add A Unique Twist

The addition of suicide doors to the car is a very, very nice touch. For those who don’t know, this means the doors on the side open out opposite to each other to allow for, in theory, more room to get in and out the car. This adds a whole new twist on the conventional sedan setup when it comes to this Camaro. To go with the additional length we now have a longer roofline, and weirdly enough the entire idea of a sedan IROC-Z, now we have a visual interpretation, does not look too bad.

A Very Different Take On The IROC-Z

This is certainly a very different take on the design of the IROC-Z. It also adds a whole new concept to that of the IROC-Z which is one of the daily driver. A standard IROC-Z probably isn’t the most practical car in the world, but this suicide door sedan would be much more suited to being a family car, day in and day out. Plus, despite the added length and extra doors, it's still got the classic IROC-Z look, which is something that helps this generation of Camaro be so recognizable even in 2022.
