It is absolutely no secret that Jason Momoa’s career took off when he donned on the character of Khal Drogo in the ultra-popular HBO series full of dragons, knights, swords, and several other things that we would rather not talk about in this platform. Since then, the actor has been under the attentive public eye as he goes about his life and career.

The last few years have been rather fruitful for him as he is the star of the 2018 superhero film, Aquaman. Just one look at this muscular, burly specimen of a human being we can probably conclude that he is definitely not your typical run of the mill dude from Hawaii even before he made headlines back when he was still a mere supporting actor for Baywatch.

A quick scan of Jason Momoa’s social media accounts will prove that the easy-going Iowa-raised actor is pretty much into classic motorcycles. Of course, this is totally in line with his bad boy bravado and the chicks just absolutely dig it. Ax throwing, among other things, is also up there with Mr. Momoa’s hobbies along with traveling, skateboarding, wooing the ladies, and apparently getting into bar fights (the scar above his right eye is a testament to that).

In any case, he has been seen driving a variety of vehicles that pique the interest of gear heads such as us; however, we have considered a few vehicles that we bet would suit Jason Momoa’s lifestyle.

15 Land Rover Defender

Via Pinterest

There is no other old school looking classic SUV that can match the machismo of the Land Rover Defender except maybe a nice Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon but unfortunately, Jason only owns one of them. In an IG post, Jason Momoa apparently had his Land Rover Defender break down on the side of the road one day and made the best of it by cracking a cold one with his friend while waiting for help to come and get them.

Foreign-made cars at times aren’t the best for reliability by any stretch but hey, at least the Defender has character and a certain satisfaction driving it around.

14 Bernadette

Via Pinterest

Jason has owned this charming Cadillac in original pink complete with the retro white wall tires. He posted on his IG account praising a certain Cadillac repair specialist’s shop for having as much passion as himself for crafts such as this one. Nothing beats timeless beauty for Aquaman and a lot of us would not dare disagree for fear of having a mythical trident thrown our way because Jason named both his Caddie and on-set trident Bernadette.

Quite a lovely name for a vintage automobile but we are not so sure about Poseidon’s 3-pronged giant fork though if you ask me.

13 Range Rover

via celebzz

The photo shows Jason Momoa and his wife, Lisa Bonet who is also an actress, in their white Range Rover getting ready to disembark probably on the way to a nice dinner. We can’t help but admire the cunningness of some dedicated paparazzi to be able to acquire such photos of celebrities; it is literally their job after all.

Anyway, you really can’t go wrong with a Range Rover if you are looking for luxury, utility, and ample space if the budget is rather liberated like an A-list actor such as Jason would definitely have. There’s nothing much to say about this one except that it’s monotonous but a good choice nevertheless.

12 Harley Davidson Softail Slim

via Popsugar

One of the perks of being extremely famous is several companies may they be automotive or not, will want their approval of a certain product and there is a big fat chance of getting that specific item for free which is exactly what happened with Harley Davidson and Jason Momoa.

The motorcycle brand even went so far as to give Jason a tour of their company museum after handing out a brand new Softail Slim which he immediately painted black. This process was shown in Mr. Momoa’s IG account in full, even the part when he sprayed the bike’s portions with black spray paint.

One of the movies Jason Momoa starred in and directed was “Road To Paloma,” a film about the passing of the main character’s mother and his journey to avenge her and spread her ashes across the West on his motorbike.

Jason personally owns the motorcycle and the history behind it is he had some changes done to the bike back in 2010, about a couple years before it was used in the film. On a side note, motorcycle enthusiasts definitely recommend the movie even to casual riders as it does have relatable bits (apart from the action-filled parts of course).

10 BMW R nineT Scrambler

Some casual drivers might not know this but BMW makes excellent motorcycles as well apart from the exceptional 4 wheeled vehicles they manufacture. Admittedly, scramblers are not exactly BMW Motorrad’s forte for motorbike types (they tend to focus on high powered sport bikes and touring bikes) but they did a pretty solid job with the R nineT Scrambler.

It hits the right spots and pushes all the right buttons for it to be considered a formidable competitor in its market. The bike seems incredibly elegant for a naturally robust looking type of a bike and it’s a breath of fresh air for the segment.

9 Ford F150

via Pinterest

There is really not much to say about this old photo of Jason Momoa leaning against an old Ford F150 except that he looks the part of a lumberjack making an honest living complete with a red and black checkered shirt. Although the truck has most certainly seen better days, we can’t deny that it just fits the feel of the image.

I mean, no logger has an absolutely spotless pickup truck, right? We can’t blame women for losing their minds over this charming man. We wouldn’t go so far as to say that he is more attractive than Chris Hemsworth (or is he?) but he is getting close, to be perfectly honest.

8 Mabel

via popcultnews

There is nothing sweeter than a man being affectionate towards his grandmother. Mabel is the name Jason Momoa gave to his first bike on the set of “Road To Paloma,” he named the bike after his grandmom. Jason even goes to his hometown in Iowa often just to visit Mabel.

Anyway, back to talking about the bikes which are what we are all here for. Love Cycles, a motorcycle customization company based in Phoenix, Arizona is responsible for doing all the work done the Mabel (the motorcycle, of course). Jason has had the bike since he was nineteen years old and has obviously kept it well.

One headline about Jason Momoa did more than its fair share of the limelight floating around the internet and it was because he apparently couldn’t start his motorcycle in a parking lot. Cunning celebrity photographers were quick to capture the moment and it seems Jason was having a bit of fun out of it as well by posing and playing with his long hair even though he was clearly distraught about his inability to start the bike for more than half an hour.

He did eventually get the vintage motorbike running again after which he went about his merry way.

6 Earth Roamer

via Tumblr

What do you get when you take a brand new Ford F150 Raptor and a Recreational Vehicle in a blender and switch it on? You get the Earth Roamer, of course! This automobile modification company is renowned for converting the most exciting, powerful trucks into tame, luxurious, mobile homes and Jason Momoa apparently digs the idea; so much so that he bought one himself and we surely know how he is out in the wild considering he’s outdoorsy.

In fact, Jason was actually pretty proud of his purchase when he posted a photo of it in IG and other platforms.

5 Knucklehead

via Love Cycles

The other motorcycle featured in Road To Paloma is a classic black cruiser similar to Mabel but not quite. Jason posted a video on Instagram of him messing around, revving the wits out of the bike with his tongue out, of course. One would really need a substantial amount of elbow grease (or knee, in the case) to kick start the old bike as seen on the video and Jason is already a big dude, mind you.

It seriously is not for the faint of heart; some would say that the custom bike is a bit too sketchy for comfort but hey, as long you don’t crash it, everything is gonna be alright.

4 Rusty C10

via Geek Vibes Nation

There is a scene in Aquaman where Arthur Curry, who Jason Momoa did a stellar job of portraying, is seen lounging on the bed of this rusty old C10 pickup truck while his father is in the driver’s seat. We are not here to judge but isn’t it a lot better to just sit beside his father inside the cab than to potentially have to deal with a tetanus infection in the future?

Wait, do Atlanteans even get tetanus? Considering that most steel objects under the sea are decrepit and corroded, they probably don’t get tetanus at all. In any case, it’s probably time to get a new pickup truck.

3 Might Buy - Ford F150 Raptor

via Motor1

Technically speaking, Jason does already own a Ford Raptor but in fairness, it is converted to a mobile home fit for camping in the woods rather than all-out rock crawling, off-roading, and all the jazz.

However, one might be forgiven to think that these are hobbies that a certain Jason Momoa would definitely enjoy one way or another considering the man does like to live life on the edge and there is no better way to do that than with testing the limits of man and machine. He can more than afford an F150 Raptor without a doubt and it would most certainly be a nice addition to his growing fleet of vehicles.

2 Might Buy - Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon

via slashgear

We know he already has a cool Land Rover Defender but we reckon he needs one more timeless, boxy SUV fit for the sophisticated gent. A Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon is known far and wide and is recognizable even from afar.

Jason is a big person, to be frank, so he needs a big car to fit all of his junk, what better way to do that than an imposing Mercedes with tons of road presence that would catch the attention of everyone on the road. Granted, he already has at least a couple luxury SUVs but none of them are G-Wagons to put it simply.

1 Might Buy - Harley Davidson FXDR 114

via visordown

Jason’s love for big cruisers and his admiration for Harley Davidson specifically could very well lead to him buying the classic motorcycle company’s latest and greatest creation.

Although most of his bikes in his collection tend to be more on the “chill ride” side of the spectrum as opposed to all-out track performance, a nice blend of both of those aspects might be something he’d consider. The FXDR 114 looks incredibly sleek for a bulky cruiser and it has the power to give some sport bikes a run for their money. The only downside is the price but we don’t think that would be much an issue for Aquaman, honestly.
