Why is there so much hype over the new Porsche 911 Turbo S? One good reason is that the 992-gen Turbo S offers great specs. It's considered as one of the fastest and quickest Porsches so far; and that is saying something.  The latest 911 Turbo S is so desirable yet so expensive (at $300,000) that you'd at least like to know some of its interesting features. Good thing Supercar Blondie is there to identify them.

Open And Close Doors With Fingerprint

Supercar Blondie (Alex Hirschi is real life) managed to borrow a new Porsche 911 Turbo S from Porsche Middle East. It's a light-colored example loaded with various options. She started her video showing how one can pop open or close the door securely. She highlighted the car's fingerprint feature that recognizes the driver's (or owner's) fingerprint for opening or closing the doors.

Riding on 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels (with center lock), the new Porsche 911 Turbo S is wider than standard 911, Alex noted. She also noted that the sports car's twin-turbocharged 3.75-liter engine can't be completely accessed (from the rear). She then highlighted some active aerodynamic elements including the front splitter and rear spoiler.

Inside, the Porsche 911 Turbo S has no start/stop button, but a dial-like ignition control instead.  There's a toggle on the steering wheel that allows the driver to change the display. Likewise, if you can have small storage holder on the center console, or you can swap it with a cup holder, but you can't have both, because Sports Car.  Alex noted the simplistic design of the sports car's gear lever and the optional sports button.

Sports exhaust isn’t standard on the Porsche 911 Turbo S – something that customers might expect from a $300,000 sports car. Nonetheless, you can add this feature, as well as the front lift system that allows the driver to increase ground clearance if needed.

Supercar Blondie was able to take the Porsche 911 Turbo S for a sweet drive. She noted its sporty stiff feeling and its launch control system. However, she noted that the 911 Turbo S has the potential to sound incredible, but Porsche had to tune it down. She only had one real issue with the 911 Turbo S – it looks the same as other 911s.
