Gordon Murray is one of the most famous automotive designers in the world. The McLaren F1 supercar from the 1990s is his brainchild, and he was also responsible for some of McLaren’s F1 cars from the 1980s that guided the likes of Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost to world titles.

Now, Supercar Blondie has been given exclusive access and footage to reveal Murray’s new T50 hypercar, his first solo hypercar.

Who Is Supercar Blondie?

She’s known to me and you as Supercar Blondie, but her real name is Alex Hirschi. She’s Australian born but currently lives out in Dubai due to her career at radio station Dubai Eye 103.8 where she worked as a celebrity interviewer. Following that, she started on YouTube and it is now her full-time job, amassing now over 4 million subscribers on that platform alone! And of course, she is famous for reviewing supercars, hypercars, as well as getting exclusive access to museum vaults and concept cars.

Getting To Know The GMA T50

The T50 is the first hypercar/performance car to come from Gordon Murray Automotive, and its styling harks back to that of the McLaren F1 of the 1990s. The engine that powers it is a V12, the lightest ever and it revs at 12,100 rpm which makes it the highest revving engine in the world. Just over 650bhp will power the T50, so named as Murray has been designing cars for 50 years. And like the F1, it features the central seating position for the driver, once you step inside.

Two passengers are either side of the driver as well, again, the same as in the McLaren F1. All of the controls wrap around the driver, with the car being under 1000kg so it is all about weight saving, making it so much lighter than most supercars out there. Check out Alex’s video for all the other specs and details on what promises to be a truly special hypercar.
