Lights…Camera…ACTION! You know exactly who they are and what they do. They’re seen the world over, populating every screen and making a stamp on your favorite magazine’s cover. They’re loud, entertaining, and easy on the eye. We are, of course, speaking of supercars.

In the cinematic landscape of automotive celebrity, supercars are the cream of the crop. They’re exciting, flamboyant, and technically immaculate; like an erudite Thespian who tackles action roles with a Shakespearean sensibility. Under the hood there’s drama, outside, pure lust, and as you rev those RPMs into red, you’ll likely open up a can of carnage the likes of which Tom Hardy hasn’t even seen.

Alas, all those marvels come with a hefty price - literally. Therefore, only a select few can afford such extraordinary luxury, and those few, of course, include some of the highest-paid movie stars of our time. So let's take a look at how they spend their hard-earned millions.

Pagani Huayra - Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

Pagani Huayra

This pairing is a curious combination. Brains and brawn may be a fitting description, but let's go with their official monikers: the Rock and the Wind. Dwayne’s action roles don’t often associate him with delicacy, but with the Huayra, one of Pagani's finest creations, he has indeed showcased his more refined side.

As the successor to the legendary 1999 Italian supercar Pagani Zonda, the Huayra had a lot to live up to. Not phased by pressure, automaker Pagani delivered a lightweight twin turbo 730 hp butterfly that is as fast as it is agile. Aerodynamic to perfection, the Huayra has 4 flaps placed strategically around its body to ensure that all that Mercedes-AMG power is delivered in the most efficient and safe way possible; bringing speed and control into perfect harmony. It appears that The Rock is indeed a man of fine taste.

Mclaren F1 - Rowan Atkinson

Rowan Atkinson might make you laugh as Mr. Bean or Johnny English, but there’s nothing funny about his car collection. Although no longer in his possession, the McLaren F1 has been the staple of his garage for many years, and for good reason.

Quite possibly the Godfather of all hypercars, the McLaren F1 was once an unparalleled force within the world of performance cars - and can arguably still hold its own against the modern heavyweights. In its time, McLaren F1's naturally-aspirated 6.1-liter BMW S70/2 V12 made it the fastest production road car ever built, and its 618 hp power output set a standard for supercars to come. Larger than life, the McLaren’s exhaust compartment even had to be lined with gold foil in order to create a heat shield from the manifolds. And if all those things weren’t enough to prove its pedigree, the butterfly doors would open to reveal the driver sitting in the center of the cabin - in true F1 fashion.

Ferrari Enzo - Nicolas Cage

The man, the myth, the legend. Nicolas Cage needs no introduction, and neither does the Enzo. Great men are often steeped in eccentricity, and their work, more often than not, reflects that. Enzo Ferrari may have often been criticized for his methods, but one can’t argue with their results. Perhaps it was only fitting to name one of the greatest Ferrari’s ever built after the company’s illustrious founder.

One of the things that made the Ferrari Enzo so special is its use of Formula 1 technology - such as a carbon fiber body and Formula 1 inspired transmission; making the Enzo truly resonate with Ferrari’s Scuderia heritage. The 660 hp, naturally-aspirated 6.0-liter V12 got it from 0 to 60 in just 3.1 seconds, whilst active, integrated aerodynamics were implements in order to keep the car on the ground; making the Enzo one of the paragons in developing contrasting aerodynamic profiles within a single vehicle. Eccentric, yet genius.

Aston Martin Vanquish 'Carbon Edition' - Brad Pitt

Regardless of his love for motorcycles, the world’s most desired heartthrob also has a delectable car collection. Known for his laid-back nature, one would assume that it would be full of Sunday afternoon convertibles, but don’t be fooled by perceptions, for there is some darkness to him. The Aston Martin Carbon Black editions turn the typical intimidating nature of their classic models, and infuse it with an even more ominous edge. Opting for the Vanquish, Mr. Pitt has chosen one of the world’s most esteemed grand tourers, which is as practical as it is ferocious - not to mention, almost as handsome as he is.

Equipped with a naturally-aspirated, 576 hp V12, the Aston Martin Vanquish ‘Carbon’ edition has a menacing air about it that is both brash and understated. Packing a responsive ride without sacrificing comfort, it is built to assassinate the road and then disappear into the shadows. Not to mention that it oozes cool, just like its owner.

Ferrari 488 Spider - Johnny Depp

Captain Jack Sparrow may have had his share of troubles in recent years, but at least now he can relax a bit and drop the top in his Ferrari 488 Spider.

The Ferrari 488 Spider is truly a celebration of life - especially one in the fast lane. Breaking out 670 hp at 8000rpm, the flavor of the full-bodied V8 is certainly one to enjoy with the top off. The symphony of its valves serves up a complimentary soundtrack to its remarkable handling, with its downforce being increased by 50% over its mid engined, V8 predecessor the 458, and the upgraded carbon-ceramic brakes keeping all that speed in check. It is a thing of beauty, taste, and zeal.

Bugatti Veyron - Tom Cruise

The Veyron was a maverick when automaker Bugatti first unveiled it in 2005, so it is only appropriate that the Top Gun star should have one.

The man who has a need for speed could not have chosen a better vehicle to satisfy it. With the Veyron, Bugatti single-handedly brought in a new era for supercars. With its 8.0-liter, quad-turbocharged W16 cranking out 1000 hp, it became the Goliath of the automotive world. An unprecedented powerhouse, the Veyron requires 10 radiators just to keep its behemoth of an engine functioning. As for the aforementioned speed, the first Veyron would top out at 253mph (407km/h), which would probably make a fighter pilot feel right at home.

Porsche GT3 RS - Jason Statham

There aren’t perhaps many things in this world that rattle Jason’s cage - but the Porsche GT3 RS might just be one of them. The Porsche 911 is typically one of the more reserved entries on lists of supercars, opting for subtle undertones of power over extravagant insanity. The GT3 RS, however, can go crazy with the best of them.

This viscous incarnation of a classic sees it fully embracing its racing heritage and donning a new, race-track-ready body kit. Porsche used carbon fiber reinforced plastic to make the construction as lightweight as possible, and employed a large, adjustable rear wing with a Drag Reduction System - along with an active front diffuser - to keep the GT3 on the ground as it revs its naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter 525 hp engine. As tough as he may be, Jason probably has his hands full with this one.

Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster - Mark Wahlberg

Marky Mark is a very non-nonsense kind of guy, and the Lamborghini Diablo is a very non-nonsense kind of car. Along with the Countach, the forever special Diablo has decorated the walls of car enthusiasts across the globe, and has continued to be a highly sought-after item among collectors. So Mark is indeed lucky to have this one.

Instantly recognizable, this monster of a supercar is everything it should be. The original carried a 5.7-liter V12 engine with a novel multi-point fuel injection system that helped it reach the maximum speed of 202 mph. Yet whilst the 470 hp engine was quite impressive, its design is what imprinted it in the memories of gearheads for years to come. The Countach may have changed the automotive scene, but the Diablo has consolidated Lamborghini's place within it.

Audi R8 V10 - Chris Hemsworth

As clean-cut as he is, it was only logical that Chris would opt for something as immaculate and precise as the Audi R8; but don’t be fooled, for both are equally quite mighty.

The Audi R8 may seem somewhat tame in comparison to the average, archetypal supercar, but that is just what it wants you to think. Originally based on Lamborghini Gallardo’s platform (and now the Huaracan’s), the R8 is not as brash as its peers, but just as hungry and resolute. The outspoken 562 horsepower V10 is mean but contained, and is kept in line by Audi’s legendary Quattro all-wheel drive system. With the top speed of 200-200 mph and a 0-60 time of about 3.5 seconds, it seems to be able to bring the lightning and the thunder.

Lamborghini Aventador Roadster - Ryan Reynolds

Ryan’s charm is undeniable. He just seems like the kind of guy that can do no wrong. Thus, it is only fitting that he treats himself with one of the most adored cars in the universe.

Yet, ‘charming’ isn’t typically a word that one would use to describe the beast that is the Lamborghini Aventador. With its naturally-aspirated, 6.5-liter V12 putting the fear of God in you as it unleashes its 700 horsepower might, the Aventador is more like Ryan's unhinged Deadpool counterpart that slices through anything that moves. Ryan opted for the Roadster, and with the Aventador accelerating from 0 to 60 in just 3 seconds, it is a wonder if it can keep its two-part carbon fiber hardtop on at all.
