Everything points to the fact that the 2017 Honda CR-V is truly a great crossover; from the great safety scores and excellent fuel economy to all the space for both passengers and cargo. Its base price is $24,250 with the LX trim which comes with primary monitor touchscreen, rear camera, 6-way driver seat adjustment, telescoping steering wheel, sunroof wind deflector, cruise control with steering wheel controls, an optional heated steering wheel and hands-free auto-opening trunk, and a ton of different features to make your driving more comfortable. Mazda CX-5 was redesigned for the 2017 model year and we have to admit that they did a very good job with it. The 2017 Mazda CX-5 has a classy and stylish exterior and interior design, plenty of room inside, great fuel economy, and you can get it at a starting price of $24,045 which is truly a bargain for this vehicle. According to Cars.usnews.com, “The base model includes push-button start, a six-way manually adjustable driver’s seat, a pair of USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, low-speed automatic emergency braking, and a 7-inch infotainment screen.” However, what people love the most about this vehicle are the smooth ride and great handling.
The 2017 Ford Escape is one of the best-selling cars in its class – and for a good reason, too.
One can get it for as low as $23,750 for the base model which comes pretty well-equipped with features such as a voice-activated infotainment system, a rearview camera, and the keyless entry.
According to MotorTrend, “Base models of the 2017 Ford Escape will come with a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 168 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. The EPA estimates that the base engine will get 21/29 mpg.”
Starting at $22,700, the 2017 Hyundai Tucson is one of the most affordable vehicles on our list but that does not mean it doesn’t come packed with all the right features. The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox is nothing like you remember it from the previous years. It has been completely redesigned for the 2018 model year and we are pretty impressed with the results. A bunch of high-tech infotainment features have been added as a part of the standard equipment and you can get the base model of this vehicle for as much as $23,580. The 2017 GMC Terrain is a great compact SUV that you can get for $24,070 if you decide to go with the base SL model. However, keep in mind that all-wheel drive is not available for the base model so if that is an issue for you, you will not be able to get it with this vehicle without going over the $25,000 mark.
If that is not an issue, this vehicle definitely deserves a second look.
Cars.usnews.com reports: “Its standard engine is a 182-horsepower four-cylinder, which is adequate around town but runs out of oomph when you need power on the open road. There are a couple of surprises among its standard features, such as a 7-inch touch screen…”
If you are looking for a great vehicle at a great price that will serve you for many years to come, the 2017 Kia Sportage definitely deserves to be considered. Not only does it come with a variety of great features but you will also get a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. You can buy the base model for $23,200, equip it with a $1,500 all-wheel drive and still spend less than $25,000. According to Cars.usnews.com, “The Sportage comes standard with a list of equipment that’s comparable to the standard features in most class rivals, but Kia also offers a couple of option packages on the base model that include features such as a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.”
While the 2018 Subaru Forester doesn’t come with a long list of features included in the base model like some of the other SUVs on this list, there is one thing that makes this vehicle worth mentioning - every Subaru Forester comes with all-wheel drive. However, keep in mind also the fact that it comes with a manual transmission. Car.usnews.com reports: “Despite the inclusion of all-wheel drive, at $22,795 it has one of the least expensive base prices in the class. Its boxy, utilitarian shape gives it excellent cargo and passenger space. Staying with the base engine earns drivers good fuel efficiency ratings of 26 mpg in the city and 32 on the highway.”
