According to MotorTrend, “After years of rumours, Dodge finally gave the Durango the SRT treatment. That means you can now get a three-row American SUV with a 475-hp V-8. It'll also hit 60 mph nearly 2.0 seconds quicker than the 360-hp Durango R/T.”

With numbers like that, there is no question that the 2018 Durango SRT is a true performance powerhouse.

19 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S

Mercedes did it again! They once again presented us with a great vehicle and we have to admit we are impressed. MotorTrend reports: “If you're willing to settle for a mere 469 hp, Mercedes will happily sell you the GLC 63 as a regular crossover. To see the GLC 63's full potential, however, you need the S version, which is only available in coupe form. Pick that one, and you get a full 503 hp.” The vehicle weighs around 4,500 pounds, it is packed with all kinds of awesome features and the newest technologies, and on top of that, the exterior and interior design look supreme. 18 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio

The Alfa Romeo fans around the globe will be thrilled to hear about the new Stelvio Quadrifoglio and its amazing performance and specs. MotorTrend reports: “The 505-hp Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is nearly the quickest gasoline-fuelled SUV we've ever tested—it ties the 707-hp Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk to 60 and is an eye blink slower to 100 and the quarter mile. And both those SUVs get pipped by the Tesla Model X P90D Ludicrous in launch mode."

But when it is pitted against other luxury SUVs, the Alfa can beat them all.

17 Porsche Cayenne Turbo

The Porsche Cayenne has recently been redesigned and now we have a brand new Porsche Cayenne Turbo on the market – and it has met all of our expectations. According toMotorTrend, “The Cayenne Turbo boasts Porsche's potent 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8—the all-new engine that made its debut last year in the Panamera—under its hood. With 550 hp and 567 lb-ft of torque, it delivers a useful 30 hp and 14 lb-ft more than the 4.8-liter twin-turbo V-8 that powered the previous Cayenne Turbo". This beast can get to 60 miles per hour in under 4 seconds, and can get over 175 miles per hour at top speed.

16 Land Rover Range Rover SVAutobiography

We are used to seeing high-power vehicles coming out of Land Rover factories, but the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover SVAutobiography is the one that truly has it all; both the design and the top-notch performance. MotorTrend reports: “Like the smaller Range Rover Sport, there are a couple versions of the Range Rover that make more than 460 hp. The SVAutobiography's 557-hp supercharged V-8, however, is as powerful as it gets. That's not as much as the SVR makes, but it's still enough to get the full-size luxury SUV to 60 mph in a claimed 5.2 seconds.” Impressive numbers indeed.

15 BMW X5 M

They call BMW X5 “The Boss” – and for a good reason, too. The newly designed BMW X5 will hit the market in November 2018 and we couldn’t be more excited to test it.

And while there haven’t been any dramatic changes to the vehicle’s exterior, the true change is hidden under the hood.

MotorTrend reports: “BMW didn't necessarily need to build M versions of the X5 and X6, but it's hard to argue with the results. Both SUVs handle far better than anything that heavy has any right to, and with a 567-hp V-8 sending power to all four wheels, they're also seriously quick. Sixty mph arrives in 3.7 seconds regardless of which version you choose.”

14 Mercedes-AMG G63

Mercedes decided to do some changes to their good old G-Wagen but we already know that when it comes to designing vehicles, a change is usually a good thing. MotorTrend explains: “The bad news is that when Mercedes redesigned the G-Wagen, it killed off the G 65. That means there's no more 630-hp V-12 option. The good news is that you can still get it with a twin-turbo AMG V-8 that makes 577 hp. Sure, it's less power, but it's also more than anyone in a G-Wagen will ever need.” While the nostalgic Mercedes fans maybe aren’t too fond of this vehicle, we have to admit that we would love to try all that power out.

13 Maserati LevanteTrofeo

It was only a matter of time for Maserati to put their first SUV on the market and we have to admit it was worth the wait. After all, you know what they say – better late than never. MotorTrendreports: “Maserati's first crossover was already stylish and fun to drive, and with 424 hp, it was plenty powerful. The Trofeo version goes even further, swapping out the twin-turbo V-6 for a twin-turbo V-8. The result: 590 hp.” We have to admit that the new LevanteTrofeo is currently one of the best looking crossovers on the market. It is big and powerful yet it remains stylish and classy.

11 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR

Here is another high-power SUV from Land Rover for all people who like their cars both practical and powerful – the Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR. MotorTrend reports: “There are actually a few versions of the Range Rover Sport that make more than 460 hp, but the king of them all is the SVR. Tuned by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations division, the SVR's supercharged V-8 makes 575 hp. That's enough power to launch it to 60 mph in a claimed 4.3 seconds.” We can all agree that Land Rover has somehow managed to turn an SUV into a supercar.

10 Bentley Bentayga W2

According to Bentley itself, the new Bentayaga is the fastest, most powerful, most luxurious, and most exclusive SUV in the world. And while we have to admit this vehicle truly is beyond impressive, it is still not the most powerful SUV out there because it falls behind the amazing Mercedes-AMG G65. MotorTrend reports: “If you're going to charge more than $150,000 for an SUV, it better make some serious power. Luckily, the Bentley Bentayga more than delivers. The V-8 version makes 542 hp, and the W12 makes a whopping 600 hp. That's enough to launch it to 60 mph in only 3.5 seconds.”

9 Mercedes-AMG G65

Is the new 2018 Mercedes AMG G65 one of the most powerful SUVs in the world? For now, all the numbers point in that direction. CarBuzz reports: “A 6.0-liter bi-turbo V12 churns out 621 horsepower and 738 lb-ft, directed to permanent 4-wheel drive through a 7-speed automatic gearbox. 0-60mph takes a rather sad 5.2 seconds. The AMG Night Package equips 20-inch 5-spoke alloys in black, gloss black exterior accents and protective strips in black."

It's also packed with advanced safety features, making this both fun and safe to drive.

8 Lamborghini Urus

We haven’t seen a Lamborghini SUV for a long, long time. However, by looking at the new Urus, one must admit that it was totally worth the wait. According to MotorTrend, “After a 25-year hiatus, Lamborghini finally got back into the SUV game this year with the Urus. It doesn't have a V-12 like the LM002 did, but its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 is still plenty powerful. It's good for 641 hp, enough to launch the Urus to 60 mph in a claimed 3.5 seconds.” Not only is the Urus’ performance more than amazing, but both the exterior and the interior designs also seems right on spot!

7 Tesla Model X P100D

Tesla proved they know how to make an amazing and powerful SUV before (just remember the great Model X P90D). However, this time, Tesla designers have really outdone themselves with the brand new Tesla Model X P100D. CarBuzz reports: “Which other 7-seat SUV can beat a Dodge Hellcat down the ¼ mile strip? With 762 horsepower and 791 lb-ft of torque, a 100kWh battery powering all 4 wheels, the Model X P100D can. Available safety specification is high, including 12 airbags, ABS brakes, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision avoidance with autonomous emergency braking.” Sounds like a vehicle worth taking out for a spin.

6 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk

If the superb power is what you are looking for in an SUV, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has a good chance of becoming your favorite vehicles ever. According to MotorTrend, “With a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 borrowed from the Hellcat twins, the Trackhawk makes 707 hp. Plus, thanks to its all-wheel-drive system, it's a full half-second quicker to 60 mph than the last Hellcat we tested.”

However, the downside is its weight.

According to MotorTrend, the Trackhawk weighs 5,448 pounds which is a lot even for an SUV. On the other hand, with that in mind, the Trackhawk’s acceleration seems even more impressive.

5 Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S

Yes, we all know that Mercedes is one of the master brands when it comes to designing high-power SUVs with awesome performance and great looks – and Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S is no different. Road and Track reports: “Using the same 5.5-liter engine as the previous AMG G63, Mercedes' GLE63 makes 577 horsepower in "S" trim and 550 horsepower in base specification. Like all Mercedes-AMG products featuring this engine, it's a brute.” As if that wasn’t enough, it comes with a whole bunch of the latest features and newest technologies that will make your rides more enjoyable and much safer. Great vehicle indeed.

4 Tesla Model X P90D

The 2016 Tesla Model X P90D was the quickest version of the Model X before Tesla came up with the new Model X P100D. Back in the days, when the P90D was all shiny and new, MotorTrend reported: “Our P90D Ludicrous model with a 259-hp motor spinning the front wheels and a 503-hp motor for the rears is the quickest version of the Model X. The 90-kW-hr battery pack can deliver 532 hp in total, enough to fling this 5,516-pound crossover to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and past the quarter-mile mark in 11.7 seconds at 116.0 mph.” So if you are a fan of electric cars, Tesla is always a good option.

3 BMW X6 M

BMW has done a great job introducing the new X5 and X6 M that offer more power and an even better performance than before. Cars.usnews.com reports: “The 2017 BMW X6 M is one part sports car, one part coupe, and one part SUV. It carries a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 under its hood that produces 567 horsepower. It puts that power to the road via the standard all-wheel drive and massive Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires at the rear.The BMW X6 M can go from zero to 60 mph in just 4.0 seconds; its top speed is limited to 155 mph.” Not bad, not bad at all. This continues BMWs tradition of making great SUVs for gear heads.

2 Land Rover Range Rover

Land Rover Range Rover is sort of a classic when it comes to powerful and luxury SUVs. Moneyinc.com reports: “The SUV still retains its upright, and boxy outer look, though they toned the edges down quite a bit, making it a bit softer and curvier in design. The LWB, V-8 model gives you 510 hp and 461 pounds-feet of torque when running at 2,500 rpm, and handles amazingly well on any road, curved, mountainous roads, or straight, flat highways.” In addition to that, it comes with a number of safety features such as blind spot warning, automated parking, rear cross-traffic alert etc.

1 Mercedes GLE Coupe

Mercedes GLE Coupe is one of the most stylish SUVs out there that combines the visual elements of a sedan with all the space of an SUV.
