The head of the department of special projects of Bugatti Design, Nils Sajonz, noted that it was precisely the preservation of an authentic look that was the biggest problem. As an example, new front lights were given, which had to be adapted to safety standards. Engineers called the taillights possibly the most complex among similar models of the modern automotive industry. They represent a single light element.

In general, the appearance of the Bugatti La Voiture Noire is a tribute to one of the most famous models of the company of the last century, the Type 57 SC Atlantic. “The Type 57 Atlantic was the ultimate GT . . . and this is what we tried here,” said Sajonz.

Only four of these coupes were assembled, and only three have survived to this day. The fourth car disappeared without a trace after World War II and, if ever discovered, could become the most expensive car in the history of the world automobile industry.

The all-black, unique Bugatti model was originally presented in March of the year before last as an electric prototype at the Geneva show. The vehicle is powered by an 8.0-liter four-cylinder power unit that generates 1,500 hp. The car's torque is 1600 Nm.

Bugatti specialists are still putting the finishing touches, as well as fine-tuning the chassis. It is known that Bugatti has been working on the assembly of its luxurious hypercar called La Voiture Noire for 7.4 years.

Previously, the company published photos from road tests of the prototype of the hypercar. The 1,500-horsepower car has undergone a test similar to those that go through Bugatti Chirons. A working prototype of the Centodieci was captured during tests at the Nurburgring.
