Dude-bro truck owners participating in the latest ICE-ing craze beware: a Tesla Model X can tow your truck with relative ease.

For the past couple of weeks, the concept of ICE-ing has come into the modern lexicon. The practice involves gasoline or diesel-powered trucks parking in front of Tesla charging stations to protest a company’s attempt to prevent the climate apocalypse by building a half-decent electric car.

We think. It’s frankly a little hard to tell since we can’t understand why anyone would protest this and we prefer to not think of these human beings as just complete a-holes.

One particular image made the rounds on social and major media outlets, which showed a trio of lifted trucks blocking half the charging stations at a Sheetz in Hickory, North Carolina. This angered quite a few electric car owners and made one Tesla Model X owner wonder just what they could do if he ever found himself in a similar situation.

Turns out, he’s got all the tools he needs to solve the problem.

YouTuber Tesla Trip decided to see if a Model X could just tow a big American pickup truck out of the way on its own. Rather than confront a bunch of ICE-ing pickups and just towing one out of the way illegally, he conscripted his sister to loan her Chevrolet Silverado and perform a real-world test.

With Silverado parked in front of a Tesla charger in Loveland, Colorado, Tesla Trip looped a cord around the truck and the Model X’s trailer hitch and then gently guided the Silverado to greener pastures. It all looked surprisingly easy, even with the Silverado’s emergency brake on.

This comes as no surprise: even the cheapest Model X currently available has over 500 horsepower and nearly 400 lb-ft of torque, which is more than enough to nudge a 5,000-pound pickup out of the way.

So next time you see a bunch of jerk pickup owners blocking a charging station, just ask the property owners for permission before you haul their climate change-denying vehicles out of the way.
