The 2020 Toyota Supra has finally started arriving at Toyota dealers across the country.

The first Supras to arrive will be the Launch Edition models, which are naturally already selling for well above their $55,250. The Launch Edition comes with everything you get on the highest-trim Supra (the Premium model), as well as a unique numbered plaque, high-contrast mirror caps, and 19-inch matte black alloy wheels.

Which are mostly all available options on the regular Supra. What you really get with the Launch Edition is being first in line when Toyota starts handing out Supras, however, some dealers are betting that some rich people will pay a lot more than $55,000 to be first in line. One dealer is even charging $40,000 above MSRP.

After the 1,500 Launch Editions are gone, the regular Supras start arriving. The 2020 Supra will be available in standard and Premium trim, with the Premium model getting a better 8.8-inch widescreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay, Supra Connect telematics service, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, wireless phone charging, a color heads-up display, and heated leather seats.

All Supras come with standard keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and basic driver assist stuff like pre-collision alert with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams.

A Driver Assist package also provides adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors.

All Supras come with the same BMW-sourced 3.0-L turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine producing 335 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. Although, testing from various publications revealed that those power figures are actually at the rear wheel, and the crank receives something close to 375 horsepower.

Toyota says the 2020 Supra can run from zero to sixty in 4.1 seconds, but again, testing shows that it's actually in the high 3-second range.

Along with some impressive performance, all Supras come with an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, 4-piston Brembo brakes, and adaptive suspension.

The standard Supra is priced at $49,990, while the Premium Supra starts at $53,990, not including the $930 destination charge. You might need to wait a bit before those models start arriving and dealers stop gouging people for Launch Editions, though.
