The 2022 Cadilac Escalade as a luxury SUV sees a high level of equipment. The full-size SUV starts just shy of $80,000, a lot for most but still plenty of technology. Including a fully digital dashboard and a plethora of buttons. But with a base price of $249,000 Rezvani's Vengeance takes all of this up a notch. Now Rezvani's standard equipment list gives you everything you'd expect for a 250k car. According to Rezvani, this includes phone charging, heated and ventilated seats a curved OLED dashboard, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, and a hands-free driving system. What more could you ask for?

Well turns out quite a lot. Just one look at the Rezvani Vengeance, and it's clear that the car doesn't have all too much in common with the Escalade. When describing wide-body muscle cars we use terms like aggressive haunches, flared nostrils, and a powerful stance. The Vengeance has all of this and then some. While the two-box shape of Cadillac's Escalade remains the aesthetic changes completely. Rezvani's vehicle looks out of place cruising through suburbia and parking at the mall. Instead this military specification luxury SUV could crawl through the most battered and beaten conflict struck streets in the world. This truly puts the new Hummer EV's military heritage to shame.

With the car's need to have bullet-poof certification the car has smaller windows with bulletproof glass. Bolstering the car's survivability, the rear windows are long gone. Effectively the boot of this car becomes a rear-loading area, for all that apocalypse gear. From behind, there's a hint of the Cybertruck with a horizontal rear light bar. Completing this end-of-times aesthetic, upfront comes a plethora of lights and nice chunky 22-inch wheels with whopping 35-inch tires. Not the first SUV of its kind, but never has a military specification civilian vehicle had such luxury,

According to Rezvani Motor's Twitter, "Rezvani is a boutique American manufacturer of extreme supercars that are beyond the ordinary". The cabin of the car looks like a standard Cadillac Escalade. Luxurious and simple, par for the course for the luxury SUV market. A few Rezvani logos decorate the cabin. The first of these takes its place on the steering wheel and the others on the seats of the vehicle. As a full-size SUV, the car benefits from three rows of seating, totaling seating space for seven or if specified a bench seat for 8. The rear sets have access to infotainment displays, so even if it's all kicking off outside at least your passengers can stay entertained.

It may surprise you, but at $249,000 the Vengeance doesn't come with absolutely everything you could dream of. An apocalypse essential doesn't find its way on the base car. For a charge of $4,500, you can have a 12,000lb winch, a roof-mounted LED light bar for $2,750, and for $2000 personalized illuminated door plates. The customization continues elsewhere. Rezvani customers can have a range of colors including blues, blacks, greens, and even a rather garish red. Although customers prepping to survive should plump for the camouflage paintwork. These are all either satin or gloss.

For an extra $125,000 customers can have executive seating. This takes the price up to around $400,000. These are reclining massage seats, big screen TVs, and partitions to keep the passenger away from the driver. There are a range of packages on offer as well. But these aren't your run-of-the-mill, adaptive cruise control, better speakers packages that you get from the German marques. Instead think, safe storage, night vision systems, rifle compartments, and even a solar power system.

With all of this extra equipment, Rezvani makes quite a heavy car. This car needs plenty of punch underneath the hood. With the base car, customers will receive a 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 420 horsepower and 460 lb/ft of torque. Plenty of power but with such a large vehicle don't expect to break any 0-60mph records. The company also offers for a modest charge of $3,500 a six-cylinder diesel that packs a meager 277 horsepower and the same torque as the standard engine. But the diesel will obviously return better fuel economy and keep you going for longer when everything goes wrong.

But for those with even more money in their pocket than sense. For $125,000 you can specify a 6.2 Liter V8 with a supercharger with 682 horsepower. Although this won't beat the Hellcat any time soon.
