Ford confirmed that it's going to offer six engine options for the F-150 (same amount as the outgoing model). Although there are no official numbers regarding horsepower or torque for these engines, since most of them are already available on the outgoing F-150, it will likely be similar.

The base model F-150 will come with a naturally aspirated V6 3.3 Liter, which made 290 hp in the 2020 model. The turbocharged EcoBoost V6 2.7 Liter that made 325hp. Then, the 5.0 Liter "coyote" V8, which made 396hp as well as the 3.0-liter power stroke diesel. Only one of the 2 V6 3.5L EcoBoost engines will be offered this time, making room for the big surprise, a PowerBoost hybrid will be based on this same engine but combined with an electric motor.

The interior received several upgrades regarding comfort, technology, and practicality. The F-150 comes now with Sync 4, which, according to Ford, is more than just a software update. This systems' processing power was increased to improve the quality of its responsiveness and to support new features, including wireless smartphone integration for Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Also, thanks to Ford's partnership with Amazon, Sync 4 will have Alexa integration.

The interior's focus is the massive new 12" screen, which will be offered only on higher-end trims, while the base models will come standard with an 8" screen. Higher-end models will also have a fully digital cluster.

Ford will also add Active Drive Assist, a hands-free system, similar to that of GM's Supercruise, this feature will only work on pre-mapped roads (100,000 miles of highways in the US and Canada). The necessary hardware for this technology will be installed on the F-150 but won't be available until the summer of 2021 when the F-150 software will be updated through the cloud, or by reaching out to a local dealer.

On high end trims levels, Ford will offer reclinable front seats that will fold almost entirely flat, allowing for more comfortable power naps. Ford also made the new F-150 a true workstation thanks to several upgrades, such as a new center console table that folds away, stowing the gear selector, allowing for a workspace that can accommodate a notepad or a notebook.

Another practical feature Ford added is the in-bed power station with an integrated generator that allows you to plug in your tools while using the tailgate as a work table. You can expect the all-new Ford F150 to hit US dealership this fall.
