20 MOST EXPENSIVE: SUZUKI AEM CARBON FIBER HAYABUSA

VIA Grunge

This bike here comes in at a whopping $200,000 and we'd bet that it's out of range for most members of what we call the middle class of society. Considering that most affordable vehicles out there go for about $15-30,000, we'll stick to our convictions and say that it's pretty much up there in terms of price. The first Hayabusa was released in 1999 and many follow-ups were released subsequently. This beast is able to reach an incredible 188 miles per hour! It has been labeled "the fastest production motorbike" and who are we to argue? The interesting thing here is that no other features are affected by making it such a fast bike, which makes it a pretty decent overall machine.

19 MOST EXPENSIVE: DUCATI TESTA STRETTA NCR MACCHIA NERA

VIA Pinterest

Well, the name Ducati definitely says it all, doesn't it? The company has been fabricating models for many decades now and they pretty much know their stuff when it comes to building a winner. This one comes in at an incredible $225,000 and for good reason. For a Ducati, it definitely has a different style and if that doesn't convince you, the specs sure will. It's incredibly light and comes in only at 297 pounds. What does this mean? Well, that John Cena could definitely deadlift it in the gym, and yeah, Dwayne Johnson could most assuredly throw it across the room. And at a weight like that, you know what that means, folks: speed, oh glorious speed.

18 ANYONE CAN AFFORD: ROYAL ENFIELD INTERCEPTOR

VIA CarAndBike

Now, this one came as a surprise to many considering the company's standing in the field. But you can get your hands on one of these for just under $6,000! Some people could probably save up for a few years and afford this bad boy! And if that doesn't suit you, financing something like this wouldn't be all that expensive in monthly installments. There's a lot of buzz about this machine and the price is just the tip of the iceberg. It's actually a very good machine and although many would consider it a beater by its price, there are many that would take it over a more expensive bike any day of the week.

17 MOST EXPENSIVE: DUCATI DESMOSEDICI D16RR NCR M16

VIA FINANCESONLINE

Now here's another Ducati that will have your jaws unhinge and roll down the hill. This beast on wheels comes in at $232,500. Yup, another six-figure price tag and we really don't have to go into it again but the name Ducati really says it all, doesn't it? The company reworked a previous model and made it lighter, rendering it more powerful. and so it has become the choice of many who are serious about owning powerful bikes. It's all about the supply and demand my friends. And there is in fact a lot of demand for this one here, despite the hefty price tag. This monster supports 175 horsepower, so how's that for starters? Any buyers?

16 ANYONE CAN AFFORD: BMW G310GS

VIA dirtbikemagazine.com

Who said BMWs had to be the most expensive vehicles on the lot? The company definitely has some expensive cars and bikes, that's for sure, but when it comes to some of its bikes, we'd have to say that they're some of the most affordable out there on the market. Only $5,695 dollars will get you one of these, should you be interested and if you are, it's a decent bike. The price definitely says it all, of course, especially in contrast with the company's other products. So, yeah, you can definitely consider this one a beater but it's a great starter bike and may surprise even the harshest critic, in the end.

15 MOST EXPENSIVE: ECOSSE FE TI XX TITANIUM SERIES

VIA tubewallpaper.blogspot.com

This is a beautiful bike. This one is very aesthetically pleasing but what more, it's definitely as powerful as it looks on the surface. So yeah, go ahead and judge this book by its cover, as it definitely won't disappoint—should you be willing to spend the hefty price. It comes in at a whopping $300,000! There are not too many folks out there that can afford that but if you can, it'll definitely look great next to that Lambo or that restored 1969 Mustang in your collection. And no, it isn't a typical cruiser but it'll make up for not carrying a household name, big time. With about 228 horses at the rear wheel, it's faster than most cruisers out there and definitely looks the part.

14 ANYONE CAN AFFORD: INDIAN SCOUT SIXTY

VIA CarAndBike

Now, Indian Motorcycles definitely carry with their name a hefty and everlasting legacy of manufacturing impeccable motorbikes. But did you know that not all of them carried with them a hefty price tag? Many of you would be surprised to know that it can be purchased for a measly $8,999. Now we know that around nine grand is definitely a lot of money for some, but the fact that a bike with such a name behind it could be available at such a low price is definitely nice. It makes owning a decent bike from such a huge company an attainable thing, after all. Now, it definitely cannot be considered a beater but the price might make you believe that it is.

13 MOST EXPENSIVE: DODGE TOMAHAWK V10 SUPERBIKE

VIA FINANCESONLINE

Your eyes are not deceiving you; that is a real motorcycle. And no, it's not the latest superbike out of the latest blockbuster film starring your favorite superstar. It's the Dodge Tomahawk V10 and it's the most expensive motorcycles we've seen thus far on this list. It comes in at a thunderous $550,000! That's right, 450 thousand bucks short of a million! Now, that's definitely a lot of dough. That frame houses a Dodge Viper engine, hence the name, and is definitely a neat punch packed up in loads of chrome. It's got a whopping 500 horsepower and can get to 65 miles per hour in about three seconds. So, you be the judge, dear reader, and classify this bike in whatever category you like.

12 ANYONE CAN AFFORD: HONDA CB650R

VIA Top Speed

Honda is a bike brand that is known to be affordable. Any model is pretty much something almost anyone can afford. It's the chosen starter bike brand for many novices and although it has a following among some expert bikers, they make beaters any way you look at it. All in all, Hondas are good bikes and cannot be called horrible, but we more than understand the $8,889 price tag on this puppy. We don't mean to knock the company or its models, just to say that these models, including this one, are a tad sub-par when it comes to overall quality.

11 MOST EXPENSIVE: HARLEY-DAVIDSON COSMIC STARSHIP

VIA Expensive Collection

It's no wonder that a Harley-Davidson made this list of ours. The company has been cranking out bikes for quite some time and their following has become a mammoth machine all of its own. And with such a following comes a lot of demand. What's that we said about supply and demand? We're sure you get the picture. Now, get ready for the price on this one, as it's quite astronomical. Maybe you should sit down. You ready? Here it goes. This bike comes in at a titanic $1.5 million! Now that's definitely a lot of dough! Why so expensive? The company hired cosmic existentialist artist Jack Armstrong to paint it with his patent style and, well, the rest is history.

10 MOST EXPENSIVE: BMS NEHMESIS

VIA FINANCESONLINE

We're sure that this one would hardly be considered anyone's nemesis, but rather a friend to be treated nicely and with the utmost respect, especially when considering the price tag. The beast you all see before you comes in at $3 million. That's 1.5 million more than the Harley on this list and the money it's worth is for very good reason. The yellow glitter you can see shining under the bright lights of the photography equipment is actually 24-karat gold, so the frills aren't cheap here. Along with all that gold comes some specs that are enough to make even the most knowledgeable gearhead wondering just how they accomplished this build.

9 ANYONE CAN AFFORD: YAMAHA MT-07

VIA Harper Cycle

Like Honda, the Yamaha name carries with it the reputation of a machine that isn't only affordable but, in fact, rather generic. For years, many have believed that Yamaha bikes were the go-to for those who couldn't afford the other speed bikes, like Kawasaki models or other fare. That's not to say that the bikes in question are terrible; only to say that they're made a tad cheaper and thus, their affordability shines that obvious light on their quality overall. Again, this is a very good starter bike for a novice and we can more than understand the price ranging from $7-8,000. So, affordable, yes; good, probably more like sub-par.

8 MOST EXPENSIVE: HILDEBRAND & WOLFMULLER

VIA WIKIPEDIA

Well, we had to go old-school on this one and while you will forgive us the trip down memory lane, we don't have a doubt that you'll understand why we included this bike on our illustrious list here today. If you think that it should be on the beater side of things, we'd ask you to look closely and perhaps check your info, because this bike is actually one of the more expensive motorbikes in existence on this green Earth of ours—and for good reason. It comes in at an astonishing $3.5 million and while your jaws are unhinged and hanging quite low to the ground, we'll also add that it first was produced way back in 1894. Now, how's that for historical significance?

7 ANYONE CAN AFFORD: 2019 DUCATI SCRAMBLER ICON

VIA ironandair.com

This is not a typo. This one here is something most riders will be able to afford, although it is quite surprising considering that it is none other than a Ducati motorbike. Most models are quite expensive, as we've seen in this article (two were on the other side of this list), but this one here isn't all that evasive to the middle and even lower range income households around the globe. It comes in at only just under $10,000 and, for Ducati, that's definitely low. If you so chose to aim your sights on a Ducati model for your first bike, perhaps you should aim at this one here. It isn't the best that the company has to offer but it's more than good when it comes to affordable first bikes.

6 MOST EXPENSIVE: ECOSSE ES1 SPIRIT

Ecosse ES1 Spirit
VIA MotorcycleDiaries.in

At first glance, this bike probably looks like any other but we'd ask that you look a tad closer. Its solid body looks a little different than most and we'd assume that these designers put a bit more in terms of design concepts when it came to this machine. There is actually no frame to this bike—no chassis, at all. It's fabricated kind of like an electric toy and if you're thinking back to our old remote-controlled cars of the eighties and nineties, you're quite close. Although that explanation is quite base, it generally explains how the bike in question was built. Whoa! We definitely get the $3.6-million asking price.

5 MOST EXPENSIVE: 1949 E90 AJS PORCUPINE

VIA Pinterest

Well, of all the names this bike could have been given, the name it did acquire sounds a tad strange. Perhaps, as a porcupine doesn't inspire things big and bad but trust us when we tell you that there is nothing minuscule about the price of this one. Certainly, it would be reserved for serious collectors. And when we say "serious," we mean rich...exquisitely rich. Would you believe us if we told you that the price tag comes in at an astonishing $7 million? Probably not, but go ahead and take a look for yourselves, and if you can purchase it, take some pics and send them to us; we'd love to see them. Historically, Les Graham, a racer, won a World Championship race on one of these back in 1949, rendering both himself and the bike legendary.

4 ANYONE CAN AFFORD: ZERO FX

VIA Cycle News

This small bike still packs a punch. And to return to a recurring theme from this article, this bike would make a decent first for any beginner. It is priced at over $8,000 (a price we feel is a tad overzealous for such a bike, but regardless). It's a great option for off-roading and it is also street-legal. Consumers could go either way with this one and for good reason. It was well fabricated and what more, it's electric. That's right, the battery gives this bike its zoom and many have trusted its style and form; not to mention its capabilities out there on the track or road. And what more, there are many upgrade options to the battery it comes with.

3 MOST EXPENSIVE: NEIMAN MARCUS LIMITED EDITION FIGHTER

VIA FINANCESONLINE

Now, according to us, this one looks the price. It is the most expensive bike on our list and hits the mark at $11 million! Some sports stars and actors don't even make that in a year! The chassis was etched from a single piece of metal.  To say that this bike is a revolution would be a serious understatement. The top speed it hits is 190 mph and although that doesn't make it the fastest here, the style, engineering, and concept win out. According to a statement made by Neiman themselves: “It’s an evolution of the machine, at once taken back down to its core elements while being reinvented and re-engineered for optimal performance. It’s our street-legal sci-fi dream come to life, in the form of the limited-edition Fighter Motorcycle.”

2 MOST EXPENSIVE: LIGHTNING LS 218 ALL-ELECTRIC SUPERBIKE

VIA Luxury Safes

Now, we already had one electric bike on the list but that was on the cheaper side of things. This one here is on the other, greener spectrum if you will. This is probably the bike that Elon Musk wished he designed. By the way, is anyone else curious about a Tesla Motorbike? He said in 2018 that it won't happen but we can keep our fingers crossed, can't we? In the meantime, we've got this monstrosity to keep us busy. Its top speed comes in at 218 mph and it weighs just under 500 pounds. So, what's the price on all this? Just under $40,000. And yeah, it's the cheapest on the most expensive side of our list, but we surely can't call this one a beater.

1 ANYONE CAN AFFORD: HARLEY-DAVIDSON IRON 1200

VIA Mountainview Harley-Davidson

Well, Harley-Davidson is "the name" in the motorcycle industry. And if you don't think so, we'll ask you if you've been hiding under a rock for the last century or so. And although they have some of the most expensive bikes and models on the market, they actually do have a cheap model for one and all. It is priced at just under $10,000. And although we don't suggest buying a Harley on your first go around, if you are intent on doing so, this one's the way to go. It calls to mind the styles of older models while at the same time, different materials and fabrication styles have made it much more affordable than older models. So, go ahead and splurge.
