Drag racing muscle cars and supercars can be fun and entertaining, but what happens when you pair up two unlikely competitors? In yet another outrageous adventure, we see one YouTube channel race a Chevrolet Cobalt against an unsuspecting competitor: a modified Ripsaw Tank. The results aren't all that surprising, but the video itself is nothing short of amusing.

Known for its crazy and outlandish content and ideas, the Cleetus McFarland YouTube channel is back at it again, this time with something a little different — a Ripsaw Tank versus a Chevy Cobalt. Honestly, it isn't all that surprising that out of all the YouTubers it's this radical group that happens to own an insane tank — which yes, you can actually buy some tanks outside the military. The build has gone on over a series of videos where the crew has faced problem after problem in modifying and building the tank which, of course, wasn't originally meant for drag racing anyway.

The tank itself isn't really a full military-style tank, which you can see if you look at a size comparison between it and the Chevy Cobalt, so it's not necessarily as bulky or heavy as a real military tank. This gives the mini tank a lot of benefits, and the Cleetus team thinks that with modifications the bulky vehicle will hit a rather impressive top speed of around 60 mph.

After a bit of rough driving, the car has required some much-needed repairs before it was able to get onto the road — and yes, surprisingly they did drive it on surface roads somehow. But it wouldn't be fair to race a tank with a top speed of 60 mph against a high horsepower muscle car or supercar, so instead the team chose a more worthy opponent: a Chevy Cobalt.

The Ripsaw Tank makes a few passes on the grass before it loses the cap to the radiator, spraying a concerning amount of coolant and smoke out of the back before taking a break — but that was far from the end of this adventure. A few pulls against the Chevy Cobalt aren't necessarily impressive, and the Cobalt is at a severe disadvantage. While the tank is racing on tracks over the sand and grass, the Cobalt gets stuck in the sugar sand, leaving us with racing results you may not have been expecting.
