When the Voge 650DSX was being designed, heightened off-road capability was a central focus. Other similar vehicles, like its predecessors, leaned more toward providing adventure, while this model emphasized off-roading. Also, while most adventure motorcycles have multi-platform parallel twin-cylinder engines, the Voge 650DSX is a bit different, as it features an engine made by BMW, among other peculiarities.

Notably, this engine is a 652 cc, single-cylinder motor that puts out 47 HP. Also, the motorcycle features a 19" front tire and 17" back tire, representing a balanced and ideal setup for adventure riding. USD forks and a rear mono-shock adorn the suspension, making it a good fit for off-roading in mountains or in rugged terrains.

The Nissin braking system is prominently featured, and it contains a pair of 41 mm inverted forks and dual 298 mm floating discs, as well as a switchable rear ABS. Furthermore, with a short first gear, the Voge 650DSX can either be sporty in third gear or a bit slower to response in fourth gear. The low 33.5” seat height was factored in for accessibility and comfort, especially when taken in tandem with high handlebars to promote an upright torso.

One notable aspect about the Voge 650DSX is that it uses an engine made by BMW. Derived from Voge's 650DS, the 650 DSZ is distinct due to the presence of protection bars, spoked wheels, and optional aluminum top and side cases. Voge is a subsidiary of Loncin Motorcycles, who cooperated and collaborated with BMW to get the Voge 650DSX's engine. BMW used the Voge's engine in its BMW F 650 GS, and it provided Voge with this engine through a tight-collaborative effort.

This engine has a chain-driven, five-speed transmission. Loncin is known in Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Norway, Ecuador, and Argentina, among other countries, for producing motorcycles of high-end configuration, with an emphasis on adventure and advanced design, all at a relatively affordable price.
