A tough question indeed, but we think that these ten cars are by far some of the best hits by the brand. These cars really show off what makes Aston Martin so special and loved by many worldwide.

10 One-77

The One-77 was Aston Martin's first proper hypercar. New, it cost almost $2 million, but today, these cars are worth way over $3 million. There were 77 of these cars built, and 76 currently exist. One has been written off in Hong Kong, which is very unfortunate.

It's a lethal-looking car, and under the hood is a 7.3-liter handcrafted Cosworth V12. This car has 760hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, which is insane. Flat out, it does 200 mph, and it hits 60 in 3.5 seconds. The One-77 also features a full carbon fiber monocoque.

9 Vantage

The Aston Martin Vantage has been around now for years. The first Aston Martin to wear the Vantage nameplate was back in 1950, with the DB2. Fast-forward to 2018, and we have the current Vantage, which is a completely different car to every other Aston Martin ever made.

The current Vantage is a full-on sports car. It isn't a GT whatsoever. It handles like a sports car, feels like a sports car, and goes like a sports car. The Vantage is a car that really appeals to younger people, which is a breath of fresh air for the brand, since most cars made by Aston Martin are targeted towards a more mature audience.

The V12 Vanquish is a traditional British Grand Tourer. Launched back in 2001, it was the marque's flagship car, and it did have its issues. The gearbox was awful, and if you've driven one, then that's something you will surely remember. Nevertheless, it was hailed as the greatest GT at the time.

The S model was launched in 2004, and that car was produced until 2007. The Vanquish name then returned for the second-generation model in 2012. That car replaced the DBS, and it was far better than the first-generation Vanquish. It was powered by a V12, and the base models had 565hp, whilst the S model had 595hp. The latest Vanquish is set to launch next year, and that will be a mid-engine hybrid supercar.

7 DBS V12

The DBS nameplate is another name that has been presented on many Aston Martin's over the years. The V12 DBS was based on the DB9, and it is one of the best-looking cars ever. Featured in the James Bond movie, Casino Royale and at the end of Quantum of Solace.

Under the hood is a 5.9-liter V12 with 510hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. This car hits 60 in 4.2 seconds and flat out does 192 mph. The DBS looked better than it drove, and the build quality wasn't the best. But it sure was one of the most elegant and classiest looking cars ever built.

6 Vulcan

The Vulcan is a very scary car that can only be used on the track. It may not have a handbrake at all, but it does have air conditioning and a 7.0-liter V12. This is a proper old-school car that has 820hp and a crazy carbon fiber spoiler. In fact, carbon fiber can be found everywhere!

The Vulcan generates GT3 levels of downforce, which is incredible. Flat out, this car will have over 1300 kg of downforce, which is just ludicrous. Stopping power is also very high thanks to the Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes. Unfortunately, this car costs $2.3 million and only 24 were made. Way out of our price range, for now.

5 DBR-1

uk.motor1.com

The DBR-1 is a car that has heaps of pedigree. It may not be the most successful racing car ever, but it has won one LeMans title. That title also happens to be their only LeMans title, which is surprising since they have been so active over the past few decades in motorsport.

The DBR-1 is worth a lot of money nowadays. In 2017, one was sold for over $22 million, which is a world record for a British-built car. The DBR-1 with the most pedigree is the DBR-1/2 since that's the exact car that won Le Mans back in 1959.

4 DB7

Aston Martin DB7

The DB7 essentially saved Aston Martin. Nicknamed the "Jag in drag", the DB7 sold thousands worldwide. It was literally a parts bin on wheels, with door handles from a Mazda 323 and an engine from the Jaguar XJ6 — only it was supercharged. The interior was all a mess too, with Ford parts all over the place.

So what was it that made this car so good? Well, it paved a new way for Aston Martin. It looked good, it was fast, and it brought in a lot of new people to the brand. The one to have in our opinion is the V12 Vantage model, but it seems the market favors the slower 3.2-liter supercharged model instead. If it wasn't for the success of this car, Aston Martin would not exist today. It may have had shoddy build quality, but it sure was more than enough to revamp the brand for the next generation.

3 V600 Le Mans

The V600 Le Mans is an old school Aston Martin. It honored the victory of Le Mans, hence the name. This car signified the end of the V8 Vantage production line in 1999, and only 40 were ever built. This car had 604hp and 605 lb-ft of torque, which is still a lot even today.

The Le Mans is worth a lot of money these days since only 40 were ever built. Each car was made upon special commission, and the original numberplates were formed around the name of the first original owner. These cars were special, and at the time it was one of the most powerful cars on the market.

2 DB11

Via: YouTube

The DB11 is quite possibly the best GT ever created by Aston Martin. It is worlds apart from the DB9, in terms of build quality, performance, and technology. Ok, maybe not looks, but it's not like the DB11 is ugly at all. Aston Martin really worked their magic on making the DB11 fun, fast and comfortable.

via Pinterest

Under the hood is either a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 or a better 4.0 Biturbo AMG V8. These engines are incredible, and they both have more power than any DB9 model. A lot of the technology is also from Mercedes, so it all works well without any glitches. The Volante model is probably our favorite.

1 DB5

Leaving the best till last, the DB5 is the most famous Aston Martin in history. In fact, it may just be the coolest car in history. Think Aston Martin and you don't think the Vantage, the DB9, the DBR-1, or even the Vulcan. No. You think DB5. This car was the one that defined the 007 Bond movies, and it sure is the ultimate spy car.

The DB5 may be a horrible car to drive, but to look at it is a work of art. This is a car that you do want to leave in a heated garage forever and just admire. It's a car that is in every single dream car book all over the world.
