Ferrari 275 GTB

This car is a classic sports coupe by Ferrari but still has an appeal of modernism similar to the songs of Jay Kay. Jay Kay gifted himself this car on his 40th birthday. This car is unique by all means, starting from the suspension system.

Earlier, Ferrari's road cars were equipped with dependent rear axles, but the Italian automaker launched the 275 GTB with all-new Double Wishbone independent suspension for all four wheels with Koni shock absorbers and coil springs.

Designed by Pininfarina and Scaglietti, the Ferrari 275 is built with an all-steel or aluminum body with aluminum alloy doors, hood, and trunk lid. The front-engine rear-wheel-drive 275 GTB is powered by a 3.3-liter Colombo V12 engine equipped with two overhead camshafts.

This massive V12 bleeds 280 horsepower at 7600 rpm but is fitted with an optional Three twin-choke Weber 40 DCZ 6 or 40 DFI 1 carburetors; the engine power could increase up to 320 horsepower. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle transmission with a synchromesh feature.

This is another unique car in Jay Kay's collection. The 2002 Baur Cabriolet was jointly designed by BMW and the German-based coachbuilder, Baur. The car was unique because of its design which was something between a convertible and a saloon.

This design retained the A, B, and C pillars but with an open roof. With this design, a better structural rigidity was achieved than convertibles, plus the usual problem of room leaking with convertibles was also resolved.

The car was earlier named the 1602 Cabriolet, emphasizing the 1.6-liter (hence 16) engine and BMW's 02 series (hence 02). However, later the engine was replaced by a 2.0-liter 1,990 cc M10 I4 and an optional 1,990 cc M10 turbo I4.

Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster

Jay Kay's collection of cars never ceases to amaze his fans, as he owns a classic 1950s Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster. This car was a champion with the capability of reaching 263 km/h. With a top speed that high, it was both a sports car champ and the fastest production car of its time.

Further, setting another record in 1961, this car became the first Mercedes-Benz production car to be equipped with disc brakes on all four wheels. This magnificent vehicle is powered by a 2996 cc water-cooled 3.0-liter 182.8-cubic-inch Mercedes-Benz M198 engine with an overhead cam straight-six cylinder.

The earlier W194 triple two-barrel carburetors were replaced by Bosch's mechanical direct fuel injection system. These modifications increased the engine power, and the 300 SL Roadster roared 240 horsepower and 294 nm of torque.

Lamborghini Miura SV

Jay Kay seems to have a love for rivals, which is why he owns not just cool Ferraris but bold Lamborghini. He owns a red Miura SV and takes it out on rides, like any other normal car! The fact that this Lambo is worth in millions currently, makes us appreciate Jay's love for motoring, and not just keeping his priced possessions as trophies at home.

This car has also been featured in his song "Alright". With a mid-mounted iconic 4.0-Liter V12 pumping out 385 horses, and a dreamy legacy, it is no surprise that he hasn't let go of this mad Italian.

Just The Tip Of Jay's Car Collection

Out of all the cars Jay Kay possesses, these three have special importance in terms of innovation, which changed the course of automobile engineering. Jay Kay's cars do not just sit in the garage; rather, the star takes each of them out frequently for a spin.

Apart from the cars mentioned above, there are some other beauties in his garage like the Ferrari Vignale 330 GT, Aston Martin DB6 MK1 Volante, Lamborghini Diablo SE30 Jota, 1989 BMW E30 M3, and Johnny Cecotto Limited Edition.
