Of course, it's not all show and no go either, so Hennessey will also give the VelociRaptor 600 upgraded turbochargers, a stainless-steel performance exhaust, an air-to-air intercooler, and a tuned ECU. All this adds up to a very decent 600+ horsepower. Customers who want to make their VelociRaptor even more special can order several optional upgrades as well, such as Brembo brakes, larger wheels and tires, LED lights, electronic upgrades, and even a bespoke interior. Of course, those upgrades would push the price even higher.

One of their most extreme modifications was giving it an extra pair of wheels. The 6x6 is by far the craziest looking G Class made, and after being tuned by Brabus it's surprisingly fast too. These limited-edition monsters pack 700 hp and cost a cool $1 million.

Anyone who's a full seven feet tall is going to have difficulty fitting inside a normal car, so it's no surprise that superstar athlete Shaq recently bought an F-650. Built in collaboration with SuperTruck, the consumer F-650 takes the commercial chassis and turns it into a huge pickup, complete with leather interior and heated seats.

Base-spec Hercules' can be had for just $175,000, but most buyers will opt for the $259,000 Military Edition. The truck has all sorts of over-the-top features like bulletproof glass and a thermal night vision system, but being realistic it'll probably only ever be used to cruise around the wealthiest corners of LA. It's all about the bragging rights really.

The LM002 did actually feature a small pickup bed, although it was primarily built as a people-carrying truck. Today examples very rarely come on the market, but one recently surfaced with an asking price of £285,000 ($393,000).

Built by the Canadian manufacturer Terradyne, the Gurkha is a crazy tactical armored vehicle that absolutely zero normal people would ever find a use for. Even so, several buyers have purchased their own, making this one of the most insane road-legal vehicles on the market right now.

The Gurkha makes use of a 6.7L turbo diesel to produce 330 hp, which given the weight of the truck still makes it very slow. Not that it really matters, given that this thing is armor-plated to within an inch of its life. Prices are available on request, but one was listed online in 2017 for $325,000.

2 Hummer H1 - $135,000

Granted, those are usually modified to make them even more off-road capable, but even standard models will still be tens of thousands more expensive than a top-spec new pickup. Not that there's anything on the market quite like the Hummer right now. The brand has been recently revived for a new EV model, and that's available for a starting price of just $80,000.
