10 Hong Guang Mini EV

This electric automobile, which will be released in July 2020 and marketed only in China, is 9.6 feet long and less than 5 feet wide, but it seats four people and has a storage capacity of 26 cubic feet when the back seats are folded.

While the Hong Guang Mini is the most popular model at $4,500, there is a better version with air conditioning for just over $5,000. They billed the automobiles as "the people's commuting tool”. It's no surprise it outsold Tesla's Model 3 in the first few months of the year.

5 Smart Fortwo

Smart's two-seater, which debuted in the United States in 2008, was only 106 inches long and 65 inches broad, marketed by the Smart Division of Daimler AG, a German multinational. Smart's Fortwo is a stylish compact commuter.

3 Peel Trident

The Peel Trident was the older sibling of the P50. Peel Engineering Company, based on the Isle of Man, was responsible for its creation. It was a revised sidecar variant of the P50 that had two seats instead of one.

They reintroduced the Trident to production in 2011, with each one being handcrafted. The Trident's design has been regarded as space-age, with the big bubble-like canopy and compact body drawing comparisons to the Jetsons cartoon in particular.

The 1962 Peel P50, dubbed "the world's smallest automobile" after an appearance on Top Gear in which Jeremy Clarkson had to break himself in half to fit into one, was the world's first true "small car."
