The new Corvette C8 hit the market fast and furious. Rumors about its mid-range engine caused anxiety with wild presumptions of a possible breakthrough or revolution. Corvette C8 mid-engine concept is similar to the Ferrari F8 Tributo and the McLaren 720s. It’s engine now sits behind the passengers, something that never happened in Corvette history. The C8 derives its power from a 6.2-liter pushrod V-8 engine producing 495 horsepower with 470 lb-ft of peak torque. Chevrolet claims the C8 can accelerate to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds.

As much as the top speed of 194 mph is impressive for a corvette, there are still electric cars that are faster than the C8.  These highly-anticipated electric sports cars are serious on the track and can blow the Corvette out of the water.

The four-wheel steering and vectoring torque, FF91 is surprisingly sturdy on the road. On a single charge, FF91 has an estimated range of 289 miles and large cargo space at the back. Considering that the Corvette C8 produces 495 hp and accelerates in 3.0 seconds, FF91 with the right driver would finish first.
