Few of us will ever get the chance to live the supercar dream. Even less of us will get the chance to live that dream while we also live in our dream house. But someone who does get the chance to do that is James, also known as TheStradman. TheStradman has some 3.98 million subscribers on his YouTube channel and has amassed a huge collection of supercars that he keeps in his new dream house in Utah.

The house alone is something we could only dream of having. He recently took delivery of three cars. Two of which weren’t his, but one of them was his new $173,000 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Winter meant it couldn’t get driven to his house, nor could he do donuts outside the house that he was planning on doing with the car. While we get a glimpse into the “batcave” in his new house, he is not very happy at the moment as the Corvette he has just taken delivery of has decided to go, in the words of TheStradman, “prima dona”, meaning he is not happy with it at all.

What On Earth Is Wrong With The New Corvette Z06?

It's hardly ideal for a new car to have issues. A previous video from a couple of weeks ago shows TheStradman get his Corvette Z06, vin-number 031, so it is pretty early in the production run. Back to the latest video, and we can see the Corvette in one piece, next to a Lancia Delta Integrale HF from his friend @muc_collector. Exterior wise there is no problem with the Z06. However, when he came to look at it the previous night, there was a leak underneath the Corvette.

That leak is transmission fluid. Yeah, not good. TheStradman took delivery of the car just two weeks prior in that earlier video, and with it costing $173,000 he is not happy the transmission fluid has leaked out. TheStradman is kind of stuck with what to do with the car right now. It needs come out of the cave, but how does he go about that? He just is not sure. The puddle on the floor is huge, so his hope is he can get the car in neutral, push it onto the car elevator and get it up into the main floor, so it can get looked at.

Unable To Get Neutral Proves A Dilema

TheStradman isn’t able to get the car into neutral when he gets the first stage of ignition on. However, the ultimate crossover takes place with Tim aka Mr Shmee150 on hand, who knows that TheStradman might blow up the transmission if he does turn the car on without any transmission fluid in it. Shmee and TheStradman work out what to do to get the car onto the lift, and are hoping that it still has fluid in it to get the car onto the lift under its own power.

Though there is a tool that you get to put the car into neutral with the engine not on, TheStradman does not have that. However, Shmee finds a procedure to get the car on, into neutral, and to stay in neutral with the engine off. That is engine on, then press brake pedal, open the door, shift into neutral, release the park brake…it is certainly a convoluted process. So it is out to Harvard Freight to get some wheel dollies to get this rather expensive car moved. However…the dollies are not big enough.

A New Car Should Not Cause This Much Stress

TheStradman does though talk to Chevrolet, who tell him that he should not start the car at all. If it is transmission fluid, and the transmission blows up, it could take months to sort it out. So that is firing up the car out of the question. With Shmee on the jack though, a friend brings over some much bigger dollies to slide under the Corvette, which then reveals dripping coming out of the car’s undertrays. Things are not looking great at all for the Corvette, and this is not good for a brand-new car!

A Giant Game Of Car Tetris

Eventually the Corvette is on the dollies and a game of car Tetris can begin. The batcave needs reorganizing so TheStradman can get out the Lamborghini Diablo that he has borrowed from a friend. However, we see just how much fluid has leaked out of the Corvette. And it is a lot. Somehow, TheStradman needs to get this car out of the batcave at some point so that transmission can get fixed. But that is a story for another day. For now, the poor sports car will sit in the corner and wait its turn, while TheStradman figures out what’s next for the Chevrolet.
