As consumers become increasingly receptive to electric vehicles, automakers are doing their bit to put the planet on course for zero emissions driving pleasure. And the latest to foray into electric mobility is British luxury car manufacturer Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, with its battery-powered 2024 Spectre EV. The Rolls-Royce Spectre is a fully-loaded two-door, four-seat coupe with top-of-the-line features, a wealth of innovations, and plenty of remarkable stats.

10 Jaw-Dropping Price Tag
Compared to rarefied EVs like the Rimac Nevera, Nio EP9, Aspark Owl, Automobili Battista Pininfarina, Deus Vayanne, and Lotus Evijas of this world, which all cost millions of dollars, the Spectre is a modestly priced car. However, with a starting price tag of $413,000, Rolls-Royce's EV coupe is still one of the most expensive electric vehicles on the market.
The Spectre's price tag places it high up the list of the world's most expensive EVs, above the likes of the Cadillac Celestiq ($300,000), Tesla Roadster ($250,000 est.), Lucid Air Sapphire ($250,000), Porsche Taycan Turbo S ($185,000), and more.
9 First Customer Deliveries Will Be Made In The Fourth Quarter Of 2023
Shoppers planning to buy the new Rolls-Royce Spectre should begin with the expectation that the order will take several months or even as long as a year.
The West Sussex-based automaker says it expects first customer deliveries to start in the fourth quarter of 2023. This is well in line with the manufacturer's typical waiting period, which isn't excessive considering Spectre's bespoke standards (regular Rolls-Royce vehicles can take up to 6-7 months). The 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre is available to order immediately.
8 All-Aluminium Chassis
The 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre is built on an all-aluminum space-frame chassis (called Architecture of Luxury) that contributes to weight-saving – the same platform that underpins the Phantom, Cullinan, and Ghost.
However, Spectre's frame is 30 percent stiffer than the previous chassis, thanks to Rolls-Royce integrating its battery pack into the reworked structure as well as additional extruded aluminum sections. The "Ultra-Luxury Electric Super Coupé" will also use the manufacturer's "Planar" suspension system, which reads the road ahead and adapts accordingly for maximum comfort.
7 Extremely Mighty Performance
The 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre will feature a dual-motor electric powertrain that generates a whopping 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque.
Rolls-Royce did not reveal battery capacity specs for the all-new Spectre, but disclosed the battery pack weighs over 1500 pounds, which reviewers estimate would mean a battery capacity of around 100 kWh.
6 Estimated Range Of 320 Miles
Shoppers are understandably looking for their next EV to offer one of the longest ranges of any electric vehicle out there. If you have any such aspirations, you'll be glad to know that the Rolls-Royce Spectre can travel up to 320 miles on a single charge.
While this is 60 miles short of what its cousin, the BMW iX provides, it is good enough to place the Spectre among the top 20 longest-range electric cars.
5 Tight Turning Circle
Like any Rolls-Royce, the 2024 Spectre is designed to make driving easier and less stressful, thanks partly to its tight turning circle, which makes the vehicle easily maneuverable.
The fastback has an impressively tight turning circle of just 12.7 meters, which is made possible by a finger-light four-wheel steering system designed to deliver maximum directional stability and exceptional maneuverability, even in narrow spaces.
4 The Slipperiest Rolls-Royce Ever
With a drag coefficient of just 0.25, the Rolls-Royce Spectre is the brand's most aerodynamic car.
This results from the lighter chassis and intelligently proportioned exterior, where even the Spirit of Ecstasy badge has been honed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency and minimum wind noise.
3 Richly Appointed Interior Treatments
A Rolls-Royce is obviously going to have a modern interior with premium looks and feel, and the Spectre does not disappoint. Of course, the cabin can be customized according to individual tastes.
The new Spectre also borrows some features from the Rolls-Royce Ghost. These include air vents, physical controls, infotainment touchscreen, and driver's display. In addition, the fastback is available with a starlight headliner that imitates the night sky with over 5,500 tiny stars that extend down onto the doors (other Rolls-Royce models offer 1,400 stars that do not extend onto the doors).
2 Illuminated Front Grille
The Rolls-Royce Spectre comes standard with a Pantheon Grille that sets off 22 LEDs to illuminate the scene and create a night signature around the widest and smoothest grille ever fitted on a Rolls-Royce.
The electric coupe borrows this feature from the Rolls-Royce Ghost, which itself lifted the design cue from BMW's Iconic Glow Kidney Grille.
1 Massive 23-inch Wheels
For the first time in almost a century, Rolls-Royce will allow customers to order its two-door coupe with 23-inch wheels.
Those familiar with the brand will also find that the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament has been redesigned to create a more aerodynamic exterior alongside the distinctive line flowing smoothly along the sides.
