The Ford Deluxe is a classic full-size vehicle that hit the US market way back in 1938. The team at Classic Car Rescue on YouTube shows off a 1946 Ford Deluxe Custom model, which is still in incredible condition. Owned by a police officer, the car is now with a relative in Bakersville, California. Here is an overview of the condition of this classic car.

Classic Ford Is Looking Good

From the first glance, it is obvious to see that this 75-year-old vehicle is in incredible shape. The paintwork looks a bit rusty, but that isn't anything out of the ordinary for such an old car. Even though it shows some rust and dents, it still doesn't look as old as its years. It is believed that the former owner, a police officer, painted the car from black and white to the light blue it wears today. Returning the car to its original color would probably add significant value, as all collectors, particularly classic car collectors, are interested in authenticity.

The engine of this Ford Deluxe Custom appears to have been restored with new paintwork and the spark plugs look to be fairly new. Incredibly, it looks as though the car still has its original odometer, showing a staggeringly low 14,000 miles covered during its 75 years, making it even more remarkable and rare. It hasn't experienced a complete restoration like most classic cars but despite this, it remains in great condition.

Aside from the fact that the Ford Deluxe Custom does not have high mileage, the interior is also surprisingly impressive, with its original features, such as the cream and light blue leather seats, the original dashboard, and the original steering wheel. Although armed with cool originals, the interior would benefit from some care and a clean.

The hope is that the relative who is taking on this Ford Deluxe Custom model from 1946 will invest some time and money into returning it to peak condition, getting it up and running, and displaying it at some classic car shows. Classic fan or not, anyone would want to admire this incredible Ford Deluxe from the mid-'40s.

In summary, the 1946 Ford Deluxe Custom is an absolute classic, and it is extremely rare to find one in such impeccable condition. With low mileage and wonderful original features, this ride is a rare one to find and whoever the new owner will be is going to be in luck.
